Good luck. Still can’t understand the the diagnostic thing. Just seems to be a waist of everyone’s time. I got lucky and dealer ordered parts and completed TSB without any hassle even with lift, aftermarket TB, FOX ATS SS and 37s. Hope they treat you right after everything you have been through with previous rig. :like:
i agree. Still waiting on the Bolts... Started complaining in June, had to run it thru diagnostic, then they ordered (waiting List) parts told 2-3 months.

Also installed an anti-rattle clamp for my aluminum draw bar (I hate strange clunking noises). The draw bar sits pretty high on my Rock Hard bumper.....and serves to protect my rig (and spare tire) from being rear-ended. It sits high enough that I have never dragged it on departure.....just about radiator height for most cars. Grin.
Its the only time one would be smiling, while wiping antifreeze and oil off of parts. Muahaha!

My daughter inherited her mother's impatience with ostensibly strange vehicle noises, even when I explain what they are; e.g., the mild thump of the drawbar in her SUV.)

Tiring of the constant comments on the issue, I finally spent a few dollars on an anti-rattle hitch pin. It has silenced the aforementioned thump, and the aforementioned commentary. Win x2.

Jeep Wrangler JL What did you do TO your Jeep JL today? Silent hitch pin

Attempted to install @TeraFlex sway bar quick disconnects unfortunately it looks like the nuts that connects the lower stud to the bracket is a different thread pattern. My buddy just ordered them the same week I did and hadn’t installed them yet so he bought his over and his were wrong too. Looks like Monday morning will be calling Teraflex or going to Ace hardware to find a nut that will fit or I need to put the old ones back on.
i just installed a set on a JKU hardware worked great. it wont hurt to reuse the factory hardware though

Thanks!

My service advisor knew exactly what I was talking about (didn't even need the TSB print out) and didn't say anything about a test drive, just the diagnostic step. My Recon is sooooooooo much better than my '19 but I still want the steel gear.

They also did 5 quarts and 5 tire rotation without any pushback. whew.

It wasn’t an issue of using the old hardware, it was the nut that goes on the stud and none of the old hardware could be used on that. It worked out just finding the proper size at ace. I called teraflex and let them know so they could address the issue with their retailers.

I had the same experience. I cited the TSB when scheduling my appointment and requested that they ordered the parts. They scheduled me two days later and I was promised the parts would be there. I was nervous about my suspension modifications including adjustable track bar and aftermarket control arms and 35's giving them reason to decline the service. I had no issues at the dealership and the Jeep finally drives straight and true. As many have already said, make sure to top off your steering fluid afterwards. Mine settled below the fill line after the work. Also, I agree w/ others who have said they feel the steering becomes even tighter as time/miles go on as if the new steering box has a break in period maybe.

Have you been applying it to the black plastic parts as well? I was thinking about trying it but I do not want to end up with chalky looking plastics.
Yes, everything that is black was coated as well including the bumpers and running boards.

We installed the TeraFlex 2.5" Performance spacer lift kit, with the control arm and shock extender options.

The Heep rides nicely - we have put about 250 miles on it after the install.

The install is not difficult. The kit comes with excellent documentation, and there are some good videos up as well. This one was done from the deck, without a lift.

We went with a spacer kit as we wanted a couple or so inches of lift but didn't feel we needed the full monte (in a manner of speaking). We are not rock hoppers; we get our thrills off fairly easy stuff like Medano Pass, Ophir, Hermit, Billings Lake, etc.

We have the Airlift 1000 bags for the camper squat. The lift does not interfere with those.

This shows with the stock Bridgestones. We are going to move to 255/80x17's after we put a few more miles on these. Looking at Falkens, though that is not yet firmed up.

Geeeeeez $500? I'm about to replace the Mopar I have since it's quickly becoming the worst thing I've ever given them money for. Paint chipping & I'm fighting off rust spots. If I sold it, I'd feel guilty taking anyone's money.

I've looked at a few and this one caught my attention. Like most, I've spent a good amount of rubles on parts & accessories, but is it worth the price given the choices of finish & surface?
It’s SOLID,doesn’t rattle, and has accessories most tailgate tables don’t even come near having.
That on top of having the option of color matching to your Jeep makes me say it’s worth the extra dollar.
I seriously have NO complaints about it.
