What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed my CB today, Cobra 75 with a 4’ firestick antenna with the terraflex mount. I had to get creative with the antenna mount since I have the Rugged Ridge spare tire support. A quick trip to Ace hardware served me well.

Nice I am in the process of deciding what mount to use with same tire carrier can you elaborate on what you purchased at Ace to complete install?

That’s awesome. You got the 4 ft on the bottom mount and it fits in the garage? Lucky!! Is that a standard height garage? I didn’t think mine would fit even on the bottom mount.

I took one of the bolts that came with the mount with me and first matched them up with a coupling then found a small bolt (the hex bolts) and lock washers.

Installed Rugged Ridge rear tail light guards. I managed to strip one of the plastic screws that holds the LED lights. It's on, so no rush, but my OCD needs to get a proper working replacement. I must have overtightened.

What's your thoughts on the guards?

What's your thoughts on the guards?

Nicely made. Wasn't too difficult to install and I'm not very mechanically inclined. Took a few times adjusting the wires to get them fit correctly. I worry that there's a slight gap at the top where water might enter and cause problems. I may be overthinking it and might just put some 3M tape to seal a bit.

I don't see them providing any significant protection and I've heard some reports on here that people were pulling them off.

In short, I like them (don't love them) and priced right at $110 or so on Amazon.

Aaahh, you tricked me! I’m currently using a 2 ft but want to swap to a 3 ft on the lower mount so it’ll fit in the garage but have better SWRs.

It is definitely still working. I may slightly reposition though...as where I have it placed in the initial pic bumps the gas pump handle when filling up.
