i put on my tube doors for the first time since the 35s and i love it!This is a fun thread I’ve seen on a few other forums. Can be anything from mods to drives, to washes, etc. pictures are always a plus!
So what did you do to your Jeep today?
Man, somebody sure loves Doritos!Made and installed my own (with some help) custom headliners yesterday afternoon.
Be careful with these. The material will rapidly deteriorate in the sun (I don't think it is UV stable) and they will tear and the handle come free.My grab bars came today. Really nice. Well made. I didn’t put the material around the bottom of the handles. Wanted the red to pop out more.
Is that undercoated? Axle looks textured like bed liner or something?Added Rancho front diff skid.
So I didn't even know I had a cabin filter-in my Jeep. Both of my VW's have had one. I've only had it 8 months, so the question is did the former owner ever change it out, or the dealer where I bought it used? I'll have to take a look at it.Well shit.... 40K miles, and I forgot that I even had a cabin filter...I may need to check that out later today.. haha!
That's fluid film that I had put on last fall, cuz I lived in VT. Now I'm trying to find a place here in SoCal to remove it.Is that undercoated? Axle looks textured like bed liner or something?
Want to get sliders that go into body bolts but very afraid of snapping them. How long did you heat?My wife and kids needed a step, so I got the Barricuda rock sliders from extreme terrain.
Price is right. I was worried about the body bolts, some heat with a propane torch they came right out. Getting them back in was a littler harder, but mission accomplished. All told I removed the factory sliders and installed these in 50 min. They weigh 25 lbs each, the factory ones are 20 lbs each, so a total of 10 lbs added. Not bad!
So it's dirt or something that has gotten stuck to the fluid film? That's fluid film that I had put on last fall, cuz I lived in VT. Now I'm trying to find a place here in SoCal to remove it.
edit: nasty sh*t
Yep, crud encrusted. They say biodegradable cleaner or degreaser should work. I'd think a steam clean would work too, but would have to be careful of her underbits. Not something I can tackle in my buddy's driveway. lolSo it's dirt or something that has gotten stuck to the fluid film?
Perhaps a hot water pressure wash would get it off? Or make it worse.
