Removed the Mopar entry guards and installed these from Quadratec.

Not sure what the deal with the Mopar guards is: they are easy to install, but they don’t protect squat. They don’t cover very much and leave the paint on the pinch seam exposed to getting scuffed by my boots.

These Quadratec guards are the real deal: they fit perfectly, they protect the entire door sill, including the seam, they are super easy to install, and cost half as much as the Mopars!

These are the Mopar guards for reference.

I think Mopar does that because of the lower door seal. I used thin clear 3M tape to protect those areas then put the Mopar plates on top. Agree that alone, the Mopar ones don't protect enough.

Looks good. About how much weight does that add?
I'm not sure the exact number but I feel like I'm a little heavier but I guess that's a good trade-off to protect everything.

Question for you guys and gals.... what spacer can I put in the rear to level the jeep up? When the hard top is on, she has a bit of a rearward rake....

Are the skid plates steel or aluminum?

I used to run a 24" AntennaX antenna on both my 2009 and 2012 JK's, but I forgot to remove it when I sold my 2012 JK

It's impossible to find the 24" AntennaX antenna now, so I went with the next best option, a 31" black spring steel antenna from AntennaMastsRus/The Antenna Source.

No impact whatsoever on radio reception and it looks much better than the stock 35" stainless antenna.

Is that an add on drip rail that you have installed?

I need these. I already scuffed all the paint off of my pinch seam.

Yes, it's the Truck Master Designs drip rail extension for the JL.

It works great, but I did need to do a little trimming with a Dremel in order to get both sides to fit perfectly.
