Removed that pesky “new car smell”.

That's nothing! Last week I changed the oil on the jeep and kept the container of used oil in the front passenger foot well. When I picked up my 10 yr old daughter I didn't realize she had her feet resting on the jug and the entire contents spilled into the mat. Thank God I had purchased the weather tech or it would have soaked entirely into the carpet.

Plugged up a tailgate hole here...With this:
Rubber Tailgate Plugs Sets for Jeep Wrangler 2018 JL JLU for Removed Tire Carrier Bumper Anti-dust Waterproof https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LCJ9LPY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T43gFb8QRS5WG
:)
Isn't the bump-stop to keep the tire from rattling/moving supposed to be there?
Yeah, those caps are for spare-elimination setups...I don't think Rugged Ridge advises or suggests that you don't need the bump stops after installing their setup. It's a solid carrier and hinge reinforcement, but it's still attached to sheet metal, and when you cantilever a load like a heavier carrier and heavier spare wheel and tire, then subject it to dynamic forces from on and off-road driving...

If you're have a spare hanging off the back, and it's not touching the bump-stops, I'd try the longer JK replacement bump stops.

When I put in the Trail Rail Management System in the rear cargo area, I parted out the removed OEM pieces to see if they could be re-used, saved in the parts bin, or tossed in the trash.

When I took apart the plastic covering the D-ring assemblies, I got these high-quality parts to use with the hard-top bolts:

Given my AEV wheel offset with the Rugged Ridge at max length I have this which snugs my tire up to the carrier.

So I think the bump stop will really do nothing for me....?

@Mikeyut3

As long as the spare is snugged up really tightly to the carrier, like it appears to be in the picture, then indeed, you do not need to have an additional/convential, bump stop. IF it is not really snugged up, take a small rubber, spacer and place it between the spare and the point on contact on the carrier... that would make it more snug..

Finally got my JKS mfg. 2.5” lift with their adjustable lower control arms. So I proceeded to install it over two evenings after work. Took in total about 6 hours. It’s currently at the alignment shop getting everything dialed back in.. all in all the kit was rather simple to install. If I where to do it again I would have bought the preset lower control arms instead of the adjustable’s just for the simplicity of not having to try and play with adjusting the arms close enough to get it to an alignment shop. I’ll repost when I get some driving In

Go these off eBay - the straps don’t move around like on a D-ring

What are your thoughts on those Ironman tires? I like their look but I hesitate because they're suspiciously cheaper than other MTs. Are they still a good tire on and off road?
I just swapped them out with 32,000 miles on them. Hope this helps

Installed Smitty winch and finished it with a Maximus-3 bar. The Maximus red finish matched the hooks and all other factory Jeep red accents perfectly.
Looks great

Super happy with it - left the crash guard on for now until I get the skid plate. Install was overall pretty seamless. Hardest part was taking off the stock bumper and LEDs - wire routing of LEDs required basically taking apart all the innards of the stock bumper.

Added LOD license plate relocation to Smittybilt bumper. I really didn’t want to take the bumper off today to mount it from underneath but when it cools off here I’ll do that. For now this works.

Wanted to protect my flat link and winch rope a little better so I made a security clutch handle for my winch. Just need to carry a 4.5 Allen and switch the handle when needed.

If you have the GEN2 10K winch, do you happen to still have the part number for the handle? Thus far I have only been able to locate the 15K handle (p/n 97515-37) , and wasn't sure if it's the same part.
