It took about 3 weeks from start to finish...thanks to a nasty case of COVID-19, but I finally got the ARB twin installed under the passenger seat. I used the Innovative JK designs kit with Air Up/Down option. It’s pretty cool and not too loud. I’ve used a single for years with 35s but 37s were just too much.
Damn! I’m glad you’re ok.

Not to pry, and tell me to fu<k off if I am, but did you need oxygen or a vent? Or just felt like you were drowning for a week?
No problem. I had all the symptoms and felt like I had the worst flu ever but I never had problems breathing. The worst was the persistent fever, really bad body aches and relentless cough. I’m 46 and in pretty good health but I can definitely see how it could kill you if you were already sick.

Came very quickly (3 days) nicely packaged with instructions.

Get under there and plug it in as per
the great detailed, color instructions - I was able to do it without pulling off any panels. I didnt wedge myself in the floorboard. I found it with this on my head then stood up and wedged my hands into the right spot.

Place provided velcro on pre-stuck velcro backing and place on metal bar:

Gave it one try on (then pushed button) and off and back on. When turned back on it took a sec for the orange light to kick back on automatically - but it did!

Will edit this with an update after using.
Update: This thing has been flawless. Highly recommended. So much better to just get in and drive and not have to say “sheesh that thing turned on AGAIN” at the first stop light / stop sign!

Took a leap of faith today.
On my 2020 Rubicon the only thing that is gloss black is the grill.
All the other black articles are matte.
I could either have it sprayed or buy a new mopar satin grill.
I was willing to sacrifice this grill if I messed up.
But I like it so far.
Chrysler uses a very hard clear coat so I decided to try something new.
Step one .
Purchase 4 grades of steel wool,
Zero through 4 zero.
Tape of white so as not to touch.
Start with zero wool and lightly start Omni direction degradation of gloss black. That took about 90 minutes of elbow grease.
Next up repeat with double zero.
I used a leaf blower to continually clean powdered clear coat off.
Double zero took about an hour.
All this without removing grill from car.
Had other errands to make today so I will finish the next stages next weekend.
When complete I plan on spraying with clear matte acrylic.
The details of running steel wool over the grey inserts were fine as the paint took the abrasion and the resin inserts were not affected.
Here’s some pics thus far.
Will post again after I spray.

Good luck with the project. I tried 4 or 5 times to get a good matte finish on my dash panels and finally gave up and sent them to Rau. Matte is absolutely unforgiving, it’s either perfect, blemish and dust free or it’s crap. You can’t wet sand blemishes in a matte finish (if you do, you’ll end up back at gloss).

I even built a dust proof enclosure and still had dust in some of my work (again, can’t wet sand away the blemishes).

If u do anything buy upgraded smoked led side markers oracle and Morimoto have them available only Morimoto has the turn signal. If u do anything else they will look like shit and u won’t be able to see the light.
Recon Truck Accessories also has smoked turn signals available.

I've got a gift card that I'm selling from them, for a discounted price, if anyone's interested.

I added at least 50 horsepower and several inches of ground clearance with this mod. Can you believe I did it myself? Saved a ton doing it in my garage instead of at a shop.

Finally got the black grille installed. Since I have the sport model, I had to order the grille molding pieces and get them painted. I love the look of a blacked out grille! I definitely wanted to keep the original look with the seven slots. Not a huge fan of the angry eyebrows. Lol

Looks great. I hate the angry look as well. Nothing better than the 7 slots traditional look.

Great job, looks great! My next push will be the same set up, except it'll probably end up in the cargo area.

By the way, your Rubi looks amazing!
