What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Washed and waxed the jeep, cleaned the soft top and put on the protectant stuff from bestop. Works pretty well, top glistens in the sunlight and has a wet look a day later. Will see how well it looks over time. For the fenders I used back to black. Didn’t work as well. Will have to check out something else.

Side note, I have the Oracle LED turn signals and today I got an error light. I have heard if it’s on for a while that’ll happen. It seemed like it happened after a long stop light, longer than normal. But light was still there the next start up. When I got home, no light and seems fine. Who knows. Will keep an eye on it.

Quadratec flashlight holder:

Easy install. Put them on starting with the interior (the part under the seat) and click in the exterior (the part facing the door) - it will feel like you are forcing it but it will snap in place. Place washer and screw in each one. They unfortunately do not provide the 3mm hex key so make sure you have one and tighten like this (if you raise the seat up there is more than enough room to get under there from the front and the back):

Feels super solid and no rattling. Flashlight really clicks in place nicely and does not slide without some real force.

I chose to use a 3 D cell maglite.

Installed some LED KCs. Had this pattern on my CJ-5 back in the early '80s.

By the way, tan leather is the correct answer with Sarge. Nice-looking Jeep.

Swapped out my hydrodipped blue skulls grill for a used Sahara black grill I picked up today. Exchanged the Sahara silver inserts for my OEM Rubi dark gray ones. And done! Not going for Recon reclone. Just wanted to try a black grill up front

Skulls grill was very cool and different, but just not my style. This is more me

Finished sound proofing wheel wells. There's just one thin sheet metal tub that separate wheels from the trunk, and plastic trunk interior has no sound I sulation, also trunk wheel well carpet is 1/3 of thickness of main interior.

The Last Coat detailer - Gotta say, this stuff is great! Goes on easy after a wash, and just used it today to get rid of some water spots. Behaves just like a wax and makes the water bead right off.
