Looking at picture #2 made me think that it would make it very interesting to integrate "switch pod" like functionality into the "smart mirror"..looks great.I installed a smart rearview mirror that acts as a front and rear dash cam. It's nice not seeing my headrests in the rear view mirror whenever I look back!
Thanks! I did see posts about the rust, but didn't let that deter me from getting them. Maybe it should have, but whatever. I wasn't sure if EVERY pair of these MK3's are bound to rust, or the people who are having these issues living somewhere with more extreme conditions than whats here in Austin Texas. I figured I'd take that chance and if they rust, I'll deal (and bitch about it) then.
Taking off that sticker is on my to-do list.. I've gone out there a time or two to try and peel it off with my fingernail, but was unsuccessful. Guess I'm going to have to get an extension cord and a heat gun (or my girlfriends hair dryer) and try it again
I haven't had any issue with it shaking or sagging. I had my 35's on the stock carrier for a while and the only issue I had was the tire would barely rub the bumper when I closed it. I added a Rough Country relocation bracket about 15 months ago and didn't have any issues with that either but it raised the tire 4.5 inches and took away all visibility from the rear view mirror. The teraflex is a perfect fit so far, not only does it lower the tire but it also brings it closer to the tailgate than the RC one (I'm back to using just the stock bump stops on the tailgate) and it relocates the third break light to further improve visibility. Have you checked to see if the dealer tightened everything up and aligned it correctly after they added the "mopar crap". If you have read through this forum a bunch I'm sure you have noticed the common theme among many post is that the dealer routinely mucks stuff up.

It wasn't me who you asked, but I also installed the Teraflex Alpha HD carrier when I switched from the factory Rubi tire size to a set of 35's. It's really a great product. Very stout in its construction, fit and finish is great, and it's ability to adjust for height and fore/aft is the best part. Helps to avoid the unnecessary cantilevering of the spares weight, common with the adapter plates, and can be fine tuned to your specific tire and wheel offset to maintain supportive contact between the tire and tailgate bumpers.
I just put the 37 spare on on same rims. Noticed on Highway That the tire is moving up and down like the tire carrier is flexing is what it seems like. Not sure if you got stock carrier but curious if you notice anythingI finally got my 37" KM3s put on my "upgraded" Rubicon rims. I like it. No spacers, no rubbing on street so far. Have a 2.5" Icon lift on it.

I got them on sale for $207 per wheel, down from $245. Now I just need to wear these BFG's down the rest of the way. I decided on the machined finish. After about 20 years of having black or dark gray wheels on everything, I decided to go to something a little different this time.

I'm still waiting for Teraflex to release their matching hinged tailgate reinforcement, but others can and have been used with this carrier for additional support.
I used the top set of lug stud holes during initial install, because I had a feeling I might go larger than 35's. Well, I did. I really readjusted the fore and aft position for my new negative offset wheels and still have factory steel bumper clearance with the 38x13.50's.
