What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I am old school, so I have an Edison gramophone hardwired through the Aux buttons and Aux port on the dash. They're the next hot thing. I'm out in front on this kind of stuff.

You crazy kids and your newfangled gadgets. I use wire recordings for audio, tin cans and string for communication, and punch cards to enter data on the dashboard. Old school is cool!

Bought one of those Alien shades off Amazon for the front. Price and quality Is good. I grew up in Tx and thought i was good w the sun. Here in the front range the sun is a whole different $hit i get burnt w less than one hour of direct exposure lol! Anyway, installed the shade, drove from Castle Rock to Deckers to Kenosha Pass and back last weekend (plenty sun) with only the sunshade. Got home said damn it got sunburned woke up the next day realized most of it was windburn. That’s about a 5 hour in the direct sun drive (total back and forth stopping to pee and coffee and all that). And if you have been in Colorado anywhere near summer you know our sun burns the dog-$hit out of people lol! The shade made a HUGE difference and I have left my front panels off ever since i put the shade on. Ill post pics at some point

You're absolutely right about the CO sun it sneaks up on you so quick. I really need to invest in a sunshade!

Most recently adjusted the tailgate latch to bring it in a touch tighter on the gasket. I was getting fine dust in at the rear window/tailgate after lengthy trips on dirt roads.

Oh, and also took it in for the clutch recall yesterday.

Can all the doors be adjusted? I asked the dealer to do it and they said they couldn't.

Added some door sill guards, since the paint was starting to get scratched. Seems like these should have came on the Jeep from the factory.

Yes, I did the same and they should be on every Wrangler from the factory.

I just broke down and order a hoist system for the top. For a while I was fine with just my wife and I lifting it off, but I am over it.

Totally agree! I put my sunshade on yesterday. as much as i like the "complete open" feel you have to have a shade here.

can you take the shade off? Or how easy is it to remove if you wanted to? Do you have to fold down the window?

I have the ruged ridge eclipse shade. Few velcro straps and its off. no folding down the windshield with this one.

Drove with the top of and bikini cover on, windows down and they didn't move....
