Do you mean using the media ports on the dash? Yeah, you can do that much easier but I want to leave those open for passenger use and I don’t like wires hanging out of those all the time.You can pop the dash and run the cable behind your dash to the same place.

I installed one about two weeks ago - works great. It does take some contortions to get under the dash to install but not too hard. Dead pedal was a bear to install compared to this.This still working great? I am picking this up!
