How does the front bumper look without the skid on the bottom? I have this bumper in the box since black friday but haven't installed it yet. Don't have the skid part. Also, did you buy the fog light brackets? I purchased those and the license plate bracket as well.
It doesn't look too bad with out the skid plate but I do like it better with it. My fog lights came out of a plastic bumper so it did not require the brackets. Although when they sent me the front bumper they included the brackets in the box.

I have the midwidth destroyer without the skid. I actually like it this way. Not bad at all.

nice, I'm going to install it soon and see how it looks. I just can't get over the idea of paying $150 for a little piece of metal. You guys are lucky that you don't have to carry around a front license plate.

I really like the old school look of the KC Daylighters on the bumper! :like: Iā€™m thinking about doing the same setup; any problems or challenges with the combination of the Mopar brackets and the Daylighters? My main concerns are the height of the Mopar brackets (they seem kinda low) and the Daylighter cans clearance with the grill.

Thanks for any info or suggestions on the install! :) :jk:
I can provide provide pictures if you like. The lights are a tight fit. The bracket had to be drilled to fit the stem. Yes low but I like the style. I have stock plastic bumper.

Remove everything. Degreased and cleaned. Painted with primer. Hit it with 600 Grit Sandpaper. Wiped off with Isopropyl and clean towell, then hit it with another coat of primer. Let dry, then 2-3 coats of color.

This has a Semi-Gloss finish, which I was good with on the exterior. IF you want that Matte look, your gonna have to spray another coat of matte on top.

The bracket requires removing the plastic plate unless trimmed. I didnā€™t reuse the plate.

I agree, the lights do look good low like that. If you have a photo you can post looking straight down to show the clearance to the grill, that would be great!

My little cheap-o upgrade today was getting some 3M tail light repair film (it is more like a thick hard plastic) for about $8 and cutting a few small rectangles and couple of squares to put over the ambient side of the footwell LEDs. With a little alcohol to wipe off any oils it sticks great. I did make a mistake and put in on the entry side of the LEDs first but realized my mistake and stuck them on the smaller square side after figuring it out. It looks SO nice now.

Nice job. No noticeable warping. You have some of the straightest doors I have seen for a JL. Or maybe it's the angle?
There is some sort of just noticible golf ball texturing but the are not warped from what I can see. But it's not noticible in this angle

Diode Dynamics clear corners. Didn't know I needed them until I got them. Much better.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I installed on board air.on my two JLURs yesterday. My Jeep and a friends Jeep. Well we installed them. We installed the ARB compressor on the firewall on the drivers side under the brake booster. Then we ran air lines to the front bumper. The install is super clean. My friend installed the air outlet on the frame by the front bumper, I installed my air outlet on the top of the front bumper behind the bull bar.

Finally got around to wiring the LED brake light in the bumper. I got tired of seeing it taking up space, sitting there looking like a string of pearls. It's a pain in the ass removing the interior panel, tailgate panel & table, dropping the wire behind the tail light, & Posi-tapping it into the CHMSL.

The things isolation gives you time to do.
