Woohoo! Have fun!
Thank you I’m so excited it’s my first Jeep. I’m waving to jeeps in my truck. Getting in the spirit. And habit. And they wave back. Lol

It's the bestop top. Went with the retro material didn't like the new bright black one plus it was $300 more for that one.

Removed those ugly things between the bumper and the fender flares... But now the back of the bumper looks kinda ugly. Does anyone make a cover for this area???

In a couple of days you won't even notice it anymore!

Some have trimmed the factory caps with good results. I plan on doing it.

I cut mine using a utility knife and then sanded down the rough edges using some 800 grit sandpaper. Turned out pretty good!

It should be standard along with the Jeep.
When I took my Jeep to Safelite for a windshield repair, one of the guys was telling his buddy about how the t-Rex /is/ standard (I added it to mine) and how you have to pay extra for the OEM windshield in order to get it if your windshield is replaced. I tried to explain to the guy that it was just a sticker and he doubled-down on it coming that way from the factory. I just nodded and smiled.

So it seems to some people, it /is/ standard.

I should do the same... Do you have any pictures?
I don't have any pictures of the process but here is what it looks like after cutting it

I took this picture from my co-workers uncut one. I followed that edge along the inside while cutting them, the result was much better

this is when I was driving normal before I started babying it... now I managed to get it up to 14.

I do a lot of city driving, and the freeway I do go on has a ton of traffic. I have a 104lbs wheel combination, but I can't say the fuel mileage was much different before... I am trying to accelerate slow, stay under 70.. roll to lights.. nothing is helping..
I have a similar setup on my JLUR and i get 15mpg. i do not baby it.

Just trim the parts you removed and replace the part behind the bumper. That is what I did. All wiring is still protected.
