Hoping to get these installed tomorrow. 315/70/17.
Do you need the extender? What’s it like driving with that many bikes behind you? I’ve had 2 but will need more soon!
First time use - Loaded up Wruby with my Thule rack, Kuat extender, and all 4 bikes and the fam went on a trail ride. Couldn’t pass up 75 degrees here in Iowa. Whole setup worked like a charm!
Thanks! Yes. I have the Thule T2 Classic (pricey, but love it), and bought the +2 bike rack add-on to carry 4 bikes total. The extender is needed to allow the rack to fold up when empty, like the pic below. If you don’t plan on folding up the rack, you might be ok without one. But for $50, why not. I also have the piece of mind that the closest bike is now about 10” more further away from the spare tire and bumper.Do you need the extender? What’s it like driving with that many bikes behind you? @dustanner @OMTBiker not sure if you guys have seen my thread on the whistling, but there's a simple enough way to stop it completely: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...rity-paint-protection-whistling-solved.17678/@dustanner - yes it whistles at highway speeds.
