How much did dealer charge you to match paint?
I took a chance on Maaco for $350 and they did a perfect match, they dealers paint shop wanted $800 (there was no dealer profit in that either. Maaco even installed the hood which took them 2 hours also that included new painted hood hinge bolts as they will trash the stock ones removing the stock hood so make sure you plan for that. They painted mine before the hood was installed I would recommend installing then painting.

@ROAM rear bumper installed. Got lights on the way to complete the look. Fit/finish is top notch. Looks great. Can't wait for the lights to come in.

I think your rig is my favorite (besides my own ;) ) on here! Each of your modifications is tasteful, incredibly well done, and all around badass!

The ROAM JL Pioneer Rear Bumper MK1 also includes a Spare Tire Relocation Bracket for compatibility with larger tire sizes.>
@ROAM i emailed previously about your aluminum rear bumper and was put on a wait list for it. Is this available now?

I gave jeepy some TLC and a bath after a long adventure! I also finished my video of me and jeepy exploring/overlanding Idaho for nearly a month! It was our 1st adventure together but far from our last Montana is next!
Cool but your color filter is way to orange

Made a custom version of our Pioneer series front and rear bumper in clear anodized 7050 T-74 aluminum:

<ROAM JL Pioneer Front Bumper in clear anodized 7050 T-74 aluminum pictured.>

<Please excuse the side steps and the spare tire, the stainless steel side steps do not yet have the weld heat tint/coloration polished off just yet and the spare tire isn't the same size as the rest of the tires. Also missing the aux LED lights on the rear bumper. Will update with better pictures after EJS 2019.>

<The ROAM JL Pioneer Rear Bumper MK1 also includes a Spare Tire Relocation Bracket for compatibility with larger tire sizes.>

You didn’t mention the Epic Road Family YouTube channel.
Some cool Canadian family of 4 running around North America and New Zealand in an RV and a Jeep JK, for the last 2-3 years!!
Ok it is not a JL...
There are some other good ones too. There may be a part 2, never know!

Installed my Roam step/sliders. Had to wait quite a while before they finally came out with the 2dr version.

Those look really good. How was the install? Did you go with the frame or body mount version?

Thanks! Frame install. It was pretty straight forward. They tell you to torque everything as you install but then the middle bracket wouldn't bolt to the step. Had to loosen everything up. They also don't provide ANY torque specs. Still waiting to hear on that.

swapped to spline drive lugs and switched back to a 21" antenna X from a Rydonair amazon cheapy that faded in just a few months.

Are those the Borahs?
Yes sir they are. I contacted AEV and asked them about the wheels and they said they would be fine on a JL Rubicon but did not recommend them on a Sahara or Sport.

I will say that the center hub opening is a bit tight on the spare tire camera but other than that they are great. :)

Finally took the time to get my storage/sleeping platform put back in after bedlining it. Removed the bigger portion of my rear seat and used the goosegear 60% delete bracket to keep my other seat. I can fit a good amount of recovery gear, tools, and camping stuff under the rear portion and a lot of storage in the front with a lock pad so I can keep it locked with the doors off.

Bolted down into place with aluminum brackets to factory bolt locations. Little under $250 with the aluminum corner brackets, goosegear seat bracket, herculiner, and plywood/wood.

Cheaper than the whole goosegear set up and I have a lockable storage area now too.

Off topic. How do you like driving with the Gobi Rack and the top off?
