Installed a Rock Krawler heavy duty front adjustable track bar yesterday. Test drive over every pothole and set of train tracks I could find and no more bump shimmy in the steering…knock on wood. @roaniecowpony called it. Jam nut is 250 ft lbs and in an awkward spot with a crow foot. I’m sure @Roky has some trick for this. I put on my big girl panties and used a BFTW. 48” Torque wrench pic dramatic effect. Yes I know I need to install the zerk fitting still.

Awesome… no tricks, I just summon my inner caveman and tighten the fuk out of it….If you truly reach 250ftlbs it will not come loose… 99 percent of the guys complaining the jam nuts come loose, they are not reaching 250 or more ( I always go past a bit) ft lbs, but they sure do swear they did…🤣 ( I still call bs ).

I set it for 300 (plus red Loctite) since my crow foot wrench angle was not precise. I still need to install the zerk and mark the hardware so I know if anything starts to loosen. I watched the Rock Krawler video that showed the hardware cutaway of the thread slop without proper torque.

You probably are aware, but no more 000 grease in their joints, but it should be grade 1 grease, I use Mobil 1….

No. I’m not up to speed on the grades and differences. I have Schaefer 238 as recommended by Adams for my Driveshafts

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JF2L84Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and Superlube 41150 for my Motobilt tire carrier

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042FG74W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Are either of those correct?
If not I’ll get the Mobil 1.

Not sure, but as long as it’s grade 1 or NLGI 1 you’re good….

Changed the oil. Put AMSOIL European EFM 5w-40. Man, 9qts about overflowed my pan. What a noticeable difference, to me at least in the engine. Seems to be quieter.

8 years on the original window, does it count if it looks like this though?

TX must look the other way with that issue. Not only would I fail PA's annual inspection with that spider web, I'd also be at risk of getting lit up and having at least a Fix It ticket issued for as long as the vehicle was being driven with that damage still evident.

Thank you sir!
I'm trying to figure the layout of the second picture. Where is the channel located where the adapter plug is? I believe you said you can access without raising the hood. I don't have the block heater so the location might be different.
Thanks for the pics and your time!

there's a 'valley / basin / trough' area at the bottom of the front grille and the filler panel connecting the front bumper. I plumbed & zip strapped the NOCO & block heater wires and zip strapped the extra cord behind the front bumper / skid plate area & 'fished' up the wires thru a hole at the filler panel and frame rails kind of behind the bumper hooks area on the passenger side. I drilled a small hole in the filler panel and zip strapped both cables so they stay put. Both cord ends lay peacefully in that valley area between the front bumper & grill bottom area.
