Got those pesky 315/70r17tires installed today. Looks good.
So, I left the shop and ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.
IMG_2741.jpeg
So, as a follow up:

Aired the tires down to 32psi cold for the time being. Handles good, rides pretty well, too. Not a lot of ā€œbounceā€. Only complaint is that they REALLY like to throw rocks! (just stay off the gravel roads)

Just finished a 620 mile road trip, one way. Drove through rain, wind, hills and heavy traffic. Tires were fantastic. Quiet and dependable handling.
No wandering, same as with the original KO2ā€™s.

Overall happy with them. Near Windrock Park in Tennessee at the moment. Hoping to make it over for a day to do some runs.

Replaced the fender vents with LED lights.

Made up relay jumper harnesses to plug in between the fender lighting connectors to allow the lights to be both marker and flashers, and so I didn't have to break into the factory wiring.

The harnesses could have been much shorter, but works for my needs.

Just a follow-up post regarding this offering... especially since it is on Black Friday Sale right now.

It is priced at WOW ... $19.49 .. YES, this offering is well well worth at the very least $19.49

Fit and finish is terrific. Has factory coloration/look. The offering actually looks better then the stock handle and in addition gives you a welcome, 1" extension to the blinker handle.

Allen Key tool included... and the manufacturer even has padding on the inner aspect of handle to prevent marring of the factory handle from the installed aftermarket handle.

I have been using it, and it even left me saying..... geeez who would of thought an extension like this would make that big a difference. Well it does...

My gal pal with her small hands is really pleased with the now longer blinker handle... when
she drives the JL now, no more having to take her hand off of the wheel to use/reach the blinker handle.

For the record, if this was a crappy offering or had shortcomings, (no pun intended) I would not come here and post so positively about the offering.

Talk about a quality offering and to think, I initially laughed at the offering when I heard about it.

Buy HERE.

Installed on my JL, Rubi..

Thatā€™s great info thanks! I used adhesive and then made a border out of 1/8ā€ thick by 1ā€ wide aluminum flat stock to frame out and hold down the edges of the rubber sheet.
Love the Yeti GoBox - just put the 60 in my '24 Rubi X 4xe - white - looks great!!

Thanks! I thought about it. Probably would need to to put butt splices on the leads for the marker lights instead of a 2-way connector, or supply marker lights with the harness as a kit with the mating connector already installed.

Finally replaced the plastic rear bumper with a Go Rhino steel rear with LED cube lights. Also installed a set of Raxiom LED tail lights.

@dragoneggs

Worse case scenario, you send it back to Amazon for a full refund.. You have til 1/31/24 to return.

I am looking forward to your thoughts on this offering. Install it and give it a some driving time / use over a couple of days to lets say get use to it.

As my previous post mentioned, the offering did strike a very positive note with me.

For sure it is a quality offering and looks factory .... and to me, the blinker lever actually looks better then the puny stock blinker lever. Also... the slight weight change of the blinker handle gives it a tad different feel / for the better, when using the blinker lever.. that extra 1" handle length is a positive thing.

Oh .... when you get the package with the the AZuto offering you will be impressed with the packaging... in how the offering presents.

When you open the cardboard packaging, be sure to look very closely at the inner plastic packaging the handle comes in, as there is an Allen Wrench stuck in a groove that you slide out of the packaging.

Today I decided to get rid of those orange side markers and change them for clear ones. Had the car for about a week, and already got new mods planned. :movember:

salt is definitely a concern of mine - havenā€™t gotten the Jeep undercoated yet, too, as I havenā€™t found a local spot that does it around me.

Maybe Iā€™ll give a shot to @Punkindugā€™s wd40 trick later today then
Took it for a drive (20ish miles on the road), andunfortunately @Punkindugā€™s trick didnā€™t do it - the boot ends rotate freely now, but the center section is actually caught up real strong (that canā€™t be good, right?).

Any ideas? On how to fix this?

nope - I tested it by turning the steering wheel all the way in both directions. It seems ā€œtrappedā€ in something inside the boot, but I canā€™t think of a way to testing that theory without destrying the boot itself ?

Thatā€™s funny itā€™s getting so mangled. Youā€™d think they wouldā€™ve designed the boot not to get stuck on its own shock.
