Finally got around to installing these cowl lights from D&C.

Works great as an additional turn signal, and hope to test them out as ditch lights soon!
I get a ton of compliments on mine but I’m taking them down to get better paint matched this week. It is way off on the white.

Was it that noticeable when you first install it? Or do you think it’s due to UV oxidation?

For how much they cost, they really should be a perfect match.

no more driving miss daisy, time to get out there and mat the sumbich…… wear these tires out so I can spend the rest of my savings on some 38s ……?
Now that's what I'm talking about.

Fixing to hammer on it again today.

We were dodging tornadoes yesterday just west of little Rock Arkansas.

It was off from the start and my jeep only has 7000 miles. So not from wear and tear or paint defects.

Got it. Mine doesn’t look too off, even in direct sun it can’t really tell it apart from the rest of the body color.

I’ll probably add a bit more ceramic wax to it next time I wash the Jeep.

Aside from that, I’m really enjoying them as turn signals and “puddle” lights as it’s been raining here more than normal in SoCal.

I saw that it’s really a hit or miss on the colors being off or not! It’s ok, I’ll get them painted, and then I think I’m going to add quick connectors in case I need to remove the cowls again. That way I won’t have to disconnect at the turn signal and aux switch again.

Yea, I made sure to add quick disconnects on mine. I used deutsch connectors on each one so I can still completely remove the panels if I need to.

Found a set of Rubi fenders with LEDs for 100 bucks. A little scratched up, but no big deal.

I had the dreaded DW after just 30k miles ?... Sooooo, we found the cure in the form of some Dynatrac HD ball joints... What a difference they made, now it drives like it should!

I took off my Dixie horn while back, and then I waterlogged my OEM horn, so I got this guy off Amazon for $23, pretty damn loud too. A lot louder than the OEM horn that's for sure. Definitely not as loud as the Dixie horn though. I bought the horn in a cyan plated covering color, and spray painted it with some "gunmetal blue" on top,, which gave it this deeper blue color.

Then I give her a wash, and wax. It's supposed to rain today.

I never dry my Jeep, mostly because I don't really care that much about my paint job. But I find these three things give me a really good shiny clean with just one once around, and a rinse. Dirt and mud grime will just drip off. And it leaves it with a nice shiny coating even with it drip drying.

Charger installed. Install at Williams 4x4 professional work. Took a while to install the way I wanted. Labor is not cheap. Lol. Routed up and over frame rail fuel tank and comes out at fire wall right at fuse box. Charger Velcro mounted to top of fuse box. Basically followed wireing harnesses from other factory installed items. Installer said it was a bitch to do it this way but it’s not going anywhere. Bracket can be moved to different locations if desired. Muffler and tail pipe is lower. Sorta at same level as tow connectors. Photos are tight, I know but there’s not much room under the hood.

That's a very long routing of power wire, I would grab a 4xe cowl plug box and fab up something in that. Keep it short and up out of harms way.
