Re-Painted my brake calipers using G2 epoxy custom colour match (G2 Custom Colours). G2 can match paint codes and I chose 'Surf Blue' which is the outline colour for trim and badges on my Jeep.

G2's is a two-part epoxy that dries and hardens to a gloss finish. It bonds to metal and becomes super hard. No need for primer or clear coat (not recommended). Remove wheels, prep, clean, tape off, then brush on self-leveling paint. Have about 4-5 hours working time before epoxy becomes unusable and hardens. Withstands heat up to 980 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray or wipe clean, no need for chemicals.

Product is also warrantied not to chip, crack or peel or G2 will send you a replacement kit. Very good reviews. I found there was enough epoxy to do 3 coats or more all the way around.

-------

Previously, I painted my calipers using VHT high heat caliper spray paint. They turned out well however were not durable and began flaking and chipping. The colour didn't match either.

Was a bit of a PITA removing old paint and redoing them but in the end I'm glad I did. Was a learning experience.
Looks great! Nice job!

I rounded up these black gloss colour matched flares off of marketplace and put them on this afternoon. Took me about 4 hours overall
Unfortunately they are not the rubicon flares but I love the colour matched flares on the JLs

Installed XK Glow Amber Fender Vent Turn Signal & Running Light. Instructions we not extremely clear, but got it done. Will have to add some 3M tape to the back because it doesn’t exact fit tight, or not as tight as I want it to. They look good though. Just make sure you have some spare clips!!! Also installed a center console organizer.

Is the orange outline on the perimeter a consequence of imperfect seating of the vent light housings? Just curious. I've considered the same accessory, but I don't like the light bleed that seems to be evident here. Just curious.

No, those are LEDs that are on the top of it. The house is sitting like it should, its just that they should have added tap to the back, not just to the front of the vent.

Today was low hanging fruit day with the new Willy's. New footwell sockets with blue LED bulbs, black Mopar gas cover, Quadratec pre-runner amber lights, Replaced Jeep fender badges with splat decal and finally.... added Mopar door sills (black plastic). And that's where I F'd up..... passenger side was beautifully placed ... driver side not so much, left a small 1/8" space where it fits up against inside lip. ARGHHH. Can't live with it! All I can think about is all the goop that will be going behind it...... Need to buy another set so I can replace. Can't bear to look at it let alone take a picture...

You're going to buy a whole new set of sill plates because you didn't seat one correctly? Is there some sort of 3M tape embargo where you live?

LOL... no supply chain issues as far as I know. In the past when I removed one of these the sill ended up twisted and bent beyond re-use. You've given me a thought though. Perhaps some bug & tar remover sprayed into the unwanted gap will release the adhesive tape enough to save the sill plate. This goes to the top of the list today. 👍

Lol. A hair dryer will help.

In saying all that though. I hated the plastic sill guards. Left a door gap and stored shit under them. I ended up just masking off and bedlining. Lol.

And.....here’s another thought:

Use some fishing line....just like most use for de-badging purposes.

Adhesive remover will release the adhesive. When using a pry tool, slow and even pressure to give the adhesive more time to release or tear also helps.
