Installed front headlight and taillight guards over the weekend.
I see that you haven't done a tail gate reinforcement (neither have I yet). If those are the 2.5 gallon packs, you will have added another 70 or so pounds to the tail gate. I love this storage solution but I hope that your hinges do too. I'd love to see how everything holds up during your trip.Installed the Rock Slide Engineering EZ Rack Rotopax mount for the spare tire and loaded up 4 Rotopax 1.75 gallon cans in preparation for a 5-day trip this week to Big Bend National Park with a group of friends. Perfect weather forecasted and clear skies with a bajillion stars at night. Going to be awesome.
Good point, but these are 1.75 gallon each, for a total of 7 gallons. It's a 33" tire, so I think I'll be okay. Will come back on after the trip for follow-up!I see that you haven't done a tail gate reinforcement (neither have I yet). Love that idea!Took four days, but finally finished the "custom" brackets to attach the Daxlighters to the plastic-bumper winch plate.
Two days of hitting stuff with hammers, then two days of watching paint dry.
The included wiring harness was exactly long enough to run passenger-side to battery, back across to driver-side, then under the cowl panel to the inside and behind the grab handle:
Also spliced in an intermittent switch mounted to the dead pedal:
Only complaint I've heard about 2.0l version is that oil changes are a lot messier.I read here about some who have ordered the Asfir skids for their Jeeps. I was wondering how you like them and have you had any issues ?
Thanks in advance for info. This is for the 2.0 Turbo below. Just looking at the Middle one now.
