Are you spying on me at work?
Are you spying on me at work?
Where did you tap into the dome light?Installed the Brawlee hatch light wired into theidome light. Easy to hide any wires without using the plastic clips. Kept the RF module and remote, works well and hides under the fender molding.
@RiperooSimple little mod, like really simple, hood gas struts. Instructions said 30 minutes, but 20 of that was reading the simple directions, laying out parts and getting the few tools I needed to do it. Actual physical install was like 10 min. Easy peasy. Can't believe I had it sitting on my tool box for like 3 months waiting around to get to it. I could have literally done this on one of the several times I was waiting in the garage for the wife when she said she was going to be ready to go in "one minute".
It was just installed and turned on for the first time, it’s wise to test out the system before fully installing/concealing everything making it a huge pain in the ass if something doesn’t work.So that’s engine mounted on board air?
What’s with all the wires
Yeah, I was a little surprised as well with the canister being in the down position, I would have thought the opposite as well. Well see how they work out, and yeah, they do have the quick release, so only take a minute to swap them both, actually may just do that as I agree with you logic of lubrication. However, the last set I installed, not Rival, on a Dodge Magnum, also had the barrel part down and they lasted for 8 years and were still functioning fine when I sold the car, and that was with a heavy fiberglass hood. I originally wanted the Redlines, but when I was ordering they were on backorder, had I had know they would sit on my tool box for 3 months, that probably wouldn't have been a factor!!@Riperoo
Does this offering have quick releases on the struts?
Also, does Rival instruct you to install with the canister part of the strut in the downward position as you have them.... wonder how they self lubricate like that.
Had I known you were going to buy hood struts, I would have suggested you go with these and not the Rival brand.. The Redline Tuning brand is only a few $ more.

gotcha. forgive my ignorance, how does that work? it runs off the engine correct, and there's a relay or something to turn on a clutch? It was just installed and turned on for the first time, it’s wise to test out the system before fully installing/concealing everything making it a huge pain in the ass if something doesn’t work.
It finally warmed up enough to install the Bushwacker Door Sill and Pinch Hider, not the official name but that’s what I’m calling it.
Had to remove the 2 front bolts on each side and then drill out to reinstall them.
Nice. Mine came in last week after 11 days in mail. My doors are off and put away so will put mine on later time. Went with 1941 this time.I put these keyhole covers on my JL.
On a sunny day I could see my keyhole 1/2 mile away. Lol
From THREEDON.
Popped right on.
Where did you get those?Installed my new door pockets.
Love that RED trim on the grill - is that painted or a trim kit?Did a bumper swap last week before heading to Myrtle for the jeep jam. Finished with the tow hooks today.
