Thanks for the intel, Mike. What I was actually envisioning was a plug-and-play version of the originals:

Oh, gotcha! You were talking real old school.

On a similar note, I recently spotted an oldie but goodie that had homemade wooden bumpers front and rear. They were both obviously finished with multiple applications of linseed oil. They looked great and was well executed on that older generation wrangler, but in my opinion, would look a bit off on a JL. Although, if done right those bumperettes could look really slick.

This may seem a little vain, but I put a self portrait on the shifter, because shifter blindness is real........ 😎

How do you like the cubbies you have to the left/right of your console? How long have you had them? Would you recommend them?

I like them, I’ve had them a year or so. The one on the passenger kept falling off after a while, it’s just dbl side tape. So I made the commitment to keep it and put a couple small black screws in it. The drivers side also uses the tape but it hooks over the transfer case shifter, so it’s solid.

That’s pretty slick, mind posting the parts you used?
Gladly,

Here are the parts needed:
-RAM® Ball Adapter with 1/4" - 20" Female Threaded Hole and Hex Post
-RAM® Single Socket Arm with Round Swivel Plate
-https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...ource-fit-system-blind-spot-mirror/kso1/c0600
-One 1/4” x 1” machine screw
-Two washers
-Two lock washers

I sourced the RAM parts on amazon as the shipping was high for two parts from RAM.

Here is the order for assembly from the outside: ball adapter -> lock washer -> washer - (Plastic pillar) - washer -> lock washer -> screw. (I hope that made sense. Lol).

let me know if you need some more pics or explanations. A DYI write up was an afterthought

cheers
ken

I also added some extra pics as reference:

Installed the Lasfit JLUR aux switch and wired some LED lights.

I just received this lasfit aux kit. The switches feel incredibly loose. Do they rattle at all or do they feel more solid once you get them mounted? I'm hesitant to even install them the way they are.
