What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I just picked it up from the service dept for the swaybar disconnect issue (3rd time). Turns out there was a hairline fracture in the plastic cover protecting the electrical parts. So water was getting in and corroding it. All fixed and back to normal. Of course while it was sitting there for days the batteries decided to die. So add new batteries to the project. Felt like a parent going to pick up your kid from daycare I was so excited to see my Jeep being pulled around for me (don’t have kids but I can imagine how excited you parents can get) haha

Update:
Removed my wheel spacers as my new wheels stuck out way too much. These new rims have a 10mm offset so these don’t need the spacers any longer. Looks much better not sticking out so much. Plus I won’t have to worry about the “wear and tear” that wheel spacers can cause on parts.

Just got back from hot springs orv park. Had a blast and would highly recommend.

Yup..... watches me like a hawk, lol. We changed the oil the other day, and she was making sure that I used 5 quarts........

What front bumper is that?

LoD signature mid-width front bumper. I had their destroyer before this one on my old Jeep. I’m a big fan of LoD and their stuff.

Icon Stage 3 lift installed today by Bulletproof Off Road in Mesa, Az. did great job as well as installed tazer for me. Icon 6 speed rims with KO2 34.5" tires. This is a 2.5 inch lift. Rides great. This color is just too pretty, need to rough it up

Same. I have their front bumper and signature series rock sliders. When I have the money for a rear bumper, I’ll be getting one of theirs. Sturdy stuff and looks good too.

Small thing today. Added some of these little tie-down rings on the hardtop bolts to give me a few light anchor points. They work pretty nice, not bad for a cheap mod.

And already using them, too. Loading up and getting ready to go do a weekend of astrophotography out in the desert.

Where did you mount your head unit, and antenna?

I saw one with the HU mounted under the steering column. I thought that was pretty slick.

I mounted behind the glove box with the antenna on the driver’s cowl.

For what its worth, I bought a bundle through Cooltech that Cooltech puts together with the radio, antenna, Cooltech antenna mount, and Cooltech mic mount.

The updated version really won't feel any different unless trying to use repeaters that require split tones. For normal trail rides in a group its all the same.

Thanks. The Midland bundle was kind of a bust. I used the antenna cable and the ghost antenna, but ended up throwing the rest away. Love the unit though.
