In preparation for a 3.5” lift and 37” tires I got the Rugged Ridge Spartacus HD Tire Carrier. IMO the hardest part is the tear down of everything to get the hinge installed. The installation itself it pretty straightforward, as is the tire carrier itself. Downsides include the mounting of the 3rd brake light. This requires you to carry an extra allen wrench. IMO they would have done better to offer a torx bolt that could make use of the Jeep‘s included tools. Also, this mount leaves the wires more exposed and it just doesn’t look that great IMO. At some point I’ll probably get a LED donut light like I had on my old Jeep. All in all, not bad for the $426 I got it for off Amazon.

Looks good. I've had my eye on the spartacus. Nice work. Noted on the third brake light, wonder if a bolt could be swapped.

I’m sure it can be, I just haven’t had a chance to look yet.

Joe is that the bag with windows in it on the wall? I didn’t put mine on yet so not familiar with all parts.
Can you give me some other pics on how it’s hung? I can’t tell.
Is it pretty stable? Wont slip? My other truck would be parked under it.
The way I store it, it is really stable. I can’t get you more pictures yet. It is actually holding my hard top now. 😊

Here is a picture of the other parts though.

I can try to remember to get more pictures when I host it back up.

Just installed mine. Got the adjustable version, but ended up using the .75 and the .25 for the full inch. Read the directions and looked at your photos a few times, which made the install easy. Definitely a more comfortable seating position now. Very happy with this product so far.

I already had the Mopar hinge gate reinforcement when I bought the Jeep. I replaced the stock carrier with the Teraflex Alpha HD carrier which I really like. Allowed me to locate the tire up and suck it back closer to the lift gate right against the bump stops.
Just installed mine today- on my 21 JLUR the camera on the stock carrier is held on with a plastic clip vs. the tiny screws the instructions talk about. Yours have the screws?

I've already installed the Curt Class III hitch, and have the Quadratec harness in my To Do box. Concerning the CANBUS wire run from the rear of the vehicle to the battery, were you able to tuck it into or along the frame rail in order to provide some degree of protection? And how/why was the wire loom addition needed? TIA.

The adapters are more expensive than the speakers. Interesting. 🤔

I've the Infinity Reference 3032s on the dashboard. They provide a remarkable improvement in sound quality. I may have to do the same with the 6532s in the soundbar. 💵
Per the directions the wire going to to the battery installs along the factory wiring/gas line (at least I think some of it was gas line haha - it had heat shield on it) it comes out very clean and plenty protected enough in my opinion. I did use stainless steel cable ties at the heat shield part just for good measure. I figure if the factory put the heat shield material there then I don't want a plastic zip tie gettting fried. I tucked the trailer wire up on top and kind of behind the heat shield the best i could and then used the metal cable ties to snug it up. (the cable ties are from home depot in the electric section) This is part of the reason that I added more wire snake skin (or wire loom depending on what you call it) In the middle. They did such a nice job putting the wire loom on everything but left the middle exposed. Not sure why so I added more so the entire thing was covered. This long winded explanation will make sense once you do it. Basically I just followed the directions (which they were very good in my opinion) I just added a little extra zip ties, etc. here and there to make it extra safe and as neat as possible. It's not a bad install so have fun with it! (Full disclosure I do have a two post lift at home so I am cheating haha!)
