I am hoping to mitigate rock chips on the hinges. I bought a $10ish 3m roll from Amazon and cut it into small strips. What is the ppf for the hinges?
lol welcome to the club. Mine arrived with 0 hardware, not a single nut bolt screw mounting bracket. I was told yesterday it would be overnighted to me but found out late last night that means Monday at 4:30.Installed a Rock Hard 4X4 Patriot Series Mid Width Aluminum Bumper. Unfortunately, some hardware was missing so couldn't continue the winch install, gotta call them during the week. Nonetheless, digging the new look

Yep. I run 37s and haul a 12ft flatbed in west TX. Luckily I-10 has enough truckstops. I did push it too far on an initial trip and had to bust out the Rotopax.I did a test mpg run towing my camper with 40s on. It is a big nope. It towed it fine at 68mph. Stayed mainly in 6th gear and occasionally 7th gear. I average 10.4 mpg. Big nope for traveling. With 37s on deadlock wheels, I get between 13.5 and 14.5 mpg depending on conditions. Knocking about 4 mpg off by running 40s means getting fuel every two hours when going across country. I think there are places out west that I would not be able to make it from gas station to gas station without carrying extra fuel.
To which hood latches are you referring... DV8?The locking, cable-pin style hood latches didn't last. The locking mechanisms stopped working. likely due to rain & dust. Installed these from Kentrol today.
Speaking of more pics, in the sense of female empowerment, I would like like to see more pics of @BbyGrlJJ working on her Jeep. We live in a world of male chauvinism and male privilege, so in order to help remedy this you should post pics of @BbyGrlJJ working on her jeep. Maybe in some high heels or an evening gown. And in the summer, less....for female empowerment.![]()
