I replaced the OVERLAND hood decals with a pair of SAHARA decals.

Shoutout to @pixeldecals ! The first set didn't stick very well. But Don reached out to me and sent me a new set.

The attention to detail and customer service are first-class!

The silver outline has a sparkle that matches the machined finish on my wheels; the matte black looks great against the Firecracker Red.

They look awesome!

Took my new VGate iCar Pro and the security bypass cable and set up my new MOPAR Accessory Switch Pack to run my light bar. Also changed to Canadian DRL and added my newly installed four pole trailer connector. 2019 2dr Sport. Also installed my new Mopar Rubicon rock rails. Quick and easy. Forgot to add. I used JSCAN on my Smart phone to make the changes. Easy peasy.

I decided to give my streamlined rig a name. Credit to @pixeldecals for the quality and prompt production of my decal request.

I also applied this Wave decal as an Easter Egg of sorts.

Wow, yeah big difference. Is it easy to pull the emergency brake with it in 4 low?
Got those pics I promised. E-brake engaged without hand and with. The lever in 4lo doesn't impede the grab and pull of the handle, put the knob does kiss my hand with the brake fully set. This is grabbing it just the same as I would with the factory knob.

I “FINALLY” tinted my front door windows after work today, it’s been on the to do list since we drove it home from the dealer...

After seeing @SlowPoke21 rig, and verifying with him that it matches pretty good in person as well, I decided to go with 20%. It really does match up pretty good, and also with the new soft top as well.

You did it yourself right? Where did you order the film from?

Honestly, to me it looks like the bolts they supply to retain their hood bracket assembly are too long and one dimpled the hood when tightened down. (pushed up the hood skin)

We have designed hood lift systems for over 350 unique vehicles and more than 50% have aluminum hoods with zero issues. We spend alot of time valving our gas springs to the correct pressure as to provide enough force to lift the hood, but not too much force to stress the hood.

Without seeing it in person, it is tough to say. I'm sorry you had to experience that damage with another companies product.

I can say with confidence that we have sold thousands of our Hood QuickLIFT systems for the JL with zero issues.
I’d like to follow up on this:

Now that I’m done replacing the hood decals, I think the dimple may have been created when I stuck the decals onto the hood.

Applying pressure to adhere the decals and remove air bubbles, may have pressed the aluminum against one of the bolts right behind that is holding the strut to the hood.

Lesson learned: if you installed hood struts, particularly the ones from Amazon, make sure to remove the bolts that attach the struts to the hood before installing a hood decal, or before applying any other type of inordinate pressure on the hood.
