What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I repainted the diff skids after a trip to Moab and the Rubicon Trail. I also touched up the frame and various other spots that got scrubbed under the Jeep during the trip.

So I took the end caps off in anticipation of tomorrow’s trip. Some of the metal underneath the caps was a bit jacked up. What are y’all using for small touch ups that don’t necessitate spraying?

Mounted some LoD Destroyer sliders today.

Trimmed my Quadratec cover by shortening the length by about a third and height by a quarter. It did cover the jeep from front to rear and all the way to the floor. In retrospect it was way overkill for my use which is to keep the twill top free of hair from our two yard cats and the yellow liquid from the neighborhood tom when he comes marking what he thinks is his territory.

I found a rustoleum flat black touch up pen/brush and painted in the metal bits showing on the end caps. Not pretty (would need sanding/refinishing regardless) but I think rust should have no path in. Will grab a photo tomorrow once I can see it better in daylight.

I am also thinking there is no reason why I could not got to the store buy some good Hiem joints and make my own for that kind of money.

There is literely nothing to these sway bar links. I think I am going to buy a real nice set of Heim joints and see if they work. Cam probably do this for less than $30.

I do like th JKS ones. I have a set on my shitbox XJ.
