What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

@mjaga and @Trauma Jeep after installing the sound deadening material I have indeed noticed it’s a little quieter inside. I didn’t use any db meters or anything so I don’t have any scientific data but it is a little quieter.

Tried the AFE hi-tuck and it had a drone at 2600 to 3100 RPMs with the sky one touch so put the stock back on until the Borla touring climber was available and then install that. This is perfect for what I was looking for, 0 Drone. It is a littler louder then stock but can barley here it with the windows up and with the windows down its about 5 DB louder and still not bad then with the top open its quiter then with just the windows down.

New JTops Sunshade came in today. Very happy with it!

Looks great....love mine! But, you need to tighten that thing up...it'll flap all over the place if you don't.

The reflectors in your rear bumper, did you put black tape on them to give them that appearance or what that the way they came? I've never seen that before?

yes I spoke to them as well and they are not the manufacturer of these badges they source them out...apparently they have to order hundreds maybe even thousands to make an order...crazy

Yes, he told me 500. he told me the initial batch sold out in 3 days. I think he is worried about being stuck with inventory. I told him these would sell out just as the initial would.

This thing is about ready for our CO/UT trip in July...is CO/UT ready for us, that’s the question now.
Front steering is done just needing to figure out how to mount the steering stabilizer with the MC FAD skid. Took her for a wash with my son. Hadn’t been washed since February. And test flexed it at my buddy’s place. Suspension felt stable even with the sway bar connected.

pending: install delete pipe, spring correction pads, and steering stabilizer

hopefully in the budget before the trip: winch and cowl lights.

Finally had some free time to take care of two big things for my Jeep - installed the Lange hoist a top simple and pulled my hard top last weekend. A lot more time consuming than I had expected but it was pretty straightforward. Biggest issue was getting the top to balance and getting the top close enough to the ceiling to avoid hitting my head on it. I have 8.5’ ceilings in my garage and it still hangs a few inches lower than I’d like.

Yesterday I spent the day installing my Bestop Supertop Ultra and I have to say the installation instructions were very good, especially paired with their YouTube video. Seems very high quality but man it was really fiddly at times. It definitely needs time to stretch out because I can barely latch the top, much less unlatch it.

After installed the top my wife and I took a short cruise top down and man, it sure feels great to be topless again! Hadn’t been able to do that since I sold my ‘92 Miata in the fall.
