Disabled my ESS for FREE , I hate mine and have always hated it . I discovered if you disconnect the right hood sensor (just unplug it) it automatically disables the ESS upon startup everytime, no button to press , just get in and go .

it will display a light on dash telling you it’s off but small price to pay. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any other “side effects” of unplugging this sensor as I don’t know what else it affects. It’s worked on my grand Cherokee for years so figured I would try

are you the same person that made the YT video? Your disclaimer sounds similar.

Added custom rubber seals on my "since 1941" cowl light mounts... then painted them red:

We shall see what they look like in the daytime tomorrow. I am prepared to learn the lesson that one should not paint jeep parts after dark.

I installed KC replacement fog lights tonight. I don't think they were a big enough improvement over the stock LED fogs and would suggest putting the money towards other lighting efforts.

They are fog lights right? Maybe the real test should be done with fog and then see if they make a difference...
There not pods or long range lights to see further or create a bigger angle, fog lights are to see better with fog.
Proof the aftermarket ones probably do work is the close range illumination at the bottom is already better. Give it a try ;)

So far my CoVID19 project:

RR Venator bumper with overrider, mount two Mopar 7-inch lights on the overider, Warn VR 10s with Factor 55 Prolink, also put on the RR amfib snorkel and RR light guards.

Thoughts:
1. Took advantage of the rebates and coupons going on right now, support Jeep aftermarket part vendors since they were hit hard. I also have plenty of time to go slow for instillation right now, my Jeep has not moved for at least three weeks.
2. RR's QC is shit, 90% of their products won't lineup and required some sorts of modifications during installation.
3. Mopar 7 inch lights are beast, build like Tank (priced as well). They are actual rebrand of Maximum-3 lights, so credit due to them. I never seen any LED light solid like these, outside of actual working light in my construction site.
4. The new VR series Warn is an awesome budget winch, the built-in wireless remote is super!
5. Factor 55 is well worth the money. I actually planed to go the splicer route, but can't pass a deal on Prolink.

Next phase of project:

Relocate my Diode Dynamics LED light bar to either the hood or rear. I tried ZRoadZ hood bracket and don't like them, the rubber gasket and lack of cone washer are pretty bad.
Put on Eibach lift, I used to run Eibach springs on my cars, curious to see their lift quality.
Bestop sunrider once it gets warmer ($200 rebate and 10% N4x4 coupon baby)
Proclip phone mount (15% off)

Did the hockey puck bump stop mod after installing the longer falcon bump stops to keep the 35s on my sport out of the fenders. Worked great! Last pic is full stuff.

Switched out to the Tyger tailgate mount.

Looks great! and will allow much more flexibility on attachments on the tailgate for now. And eventually 37's.

So it is $200. I have one in my Northridge cart ready to order.
Installed Bestop Sunrider (Twill) on my 19 Ocean Blue JL. Easy 30 min install, $200 rebate (no matter where you purchase from)

(Cross post in Recon Ordering thread)

I got my replacement Rubicon today! Finally after MONTHS of arbitration and Stericycle, I finally have my new Jeep and I couldn't be happier.

I had a huge assist from FCA corporate to get my Punk'n Recon. The color was discontinued before Stericycle could get their paperwork together and it looked like I was out of luck. In an act of desperation, I emailed some Jeep executives and one got back to me and helped me get my Punk'n! I'm so thankful because it HAD to be orange.

The steering and handling compared to my '19 JLR is remarkable. This one doesn't pull or wander and the steering feels much heavier without the play. AWESOME! I am so happy with this Jeep and hubby likes it, too.

My only complaint is that the tires seem loud. But I'll eventually get 35s anyways.

OK, PICS of Ranger...

Not sure how I feel about this decal (hubby likes it), but I'm going to leave it for now:

I like the fit of the Mopar grille guard and am curious how it works with my Warn winch:

So much glorious Punk'n orange!!!!!!

Why is steering so much improved? Is this something I can add/modify on my 2019 JLR?

Got the hitch+wiring harness from Quadratec

https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/premium-2-receiver-hitch-jeep-wrangler-jl

Install was pretty straight forward but tedious. I followed the quadratec mopar install video() to make sure I ran the wiring correctly through the firewall etc.. Not exactly the same but close enough. I think the whole install took about 2 hours and only $150!
Did you do the Mopar 82215896 Hitch Receiver Wiring Harness? If yes, how did you get it for $150, it shows as being $265 at Quadratec?
