Update: Putting doors back on I noticed that the foot peg chewed up the hinge bushing......

My fix for this is a 3/8 “ washer 2 for a nickel at my ace hardware......

Good PSA for those that might want those pegs.

I've been busy with the Jeep, so much, so the Viper is feeling lonely LOL. My latest mods are the Mopar OEM LED headlights and DRLs conversion. Got everything working, need the wiring to get here for the halos to work. Here's a before and after I did the DRLs. This is an absolute mod for those us whose Jeeps didn't come with the LED package like our Sahara from the factory.

ARB diff covers front and rear (well that happened yesterday) & a color change to the front skid plate, inspired by the upcoming Mojave edition...

I know everyone has there own way of taking top and doors off, but I thought I’d share my method in case there are still some using the little tool kit that came with our rigs....I use a small , Harry homeowner, version impact driver. It’s not to powerful so no chance of over torquing the bolts. And I use a dewalt swivel so I don’t chance rubbing against the paint or the glass.......:)

I did that for many weeks and then found scuffing on the door frame area where it appears the door was rubbing since it could move ever so slightly without the nuts installed.

I've got an ocean blue and have had mine off for about 8 months now and zero scuffs or scratches. I do use door pins and perhaps that helps.

I noticed it after doing a crapload of offroading without the nuts installed on the door pins. I'm not going bonkers over it, just something I noticed in case it helps another Jeeper.

Thanks I am still debating if should I get the Smittybilt XL or the Standard. I know the XL is big . Hows the driving and loading it on top of your Jeep?
OK, driving is fine. You have to expect that the not very aerodynamic Jeep is even less so with the rtt but if you're ok driving a little slower, it is fine. Loading it onto the Jeep however was a different story. It wasn't hard, just cumbersome, and took some serious planning for me. With the coronovirus, all of our neighbors took off so that left my vertically challenged wife (5' tall) and my two boys, aged 11 and 7 to help. We put a moving blanket on the side of the Jeep just incase and just lifted it. Again, not overly difficult, just took some planning. I was considering buying a hinge crane that I saw on amazon, but after lifting it, I decided it wasn't necessary.

I have four people in my family so we needed the XL. If you have two adults only, I would go with the standard size, but if your family or group is any larger than that I would consider the XL.

Checked the toe and adjusted the drop link for steering as I was biased left after suspension upgrade. Noticing the added steal bumper dropped my MPG 1-2pts or could just be I'm liking the bump in acceleration and sound of the Mishimoto IC a bit too much.
