Complete floor sound proofing done.

Review: Noico makes a good product, this is their 80mil stuff. One package was enough to cover 90% of surfaces under the driver's, passenger's, and rear seat sheet metal. I put a little in the back under the center section just behind the rear seat, but have plans to possibly route some air compressor stuff on the sides at some point, so left all that untouched

Noico Black 80 Mil 36 Sq Ft Car Sound Deadening, butyl automotive deadener restoration mat and Noise dampening insulation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BKKZ1AM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NvcBEbKAVJE9A

Takes a little doing, but this stuff is awesome. When I first started driving, I thought the engine wasn't on, then I thought I had a hearing issue. Around town, 45mph or so, markedly quieter. Conversations are easier, music better, feels much more vault like.

However, add a lift, 37 inch km3's, and highway speeds, noise is back :), mostly wind noise and tire drone. But that's expected, as this vehicle has the aerodynamics of a brick with 3 kites and a windmill attached. :tumbleweed:

Looks great, good job! Did you only do under the front seats?
Thanks

Sorry I just saw your post, I have to say there is some wind noise that still comes from the front removable tops (very little) but not from the doors anymore. I will add seals to the tops to reduce that as well. Here's the link to Amazon's seals and you will need to order two sets (2 rolls per set ) to cover all doors
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0771T61VH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (2 orders). You will feel the difference too because it will be harder to close the door since the cabin is sealed now. You will need to make cuts and overlap 1/2-inch where the front tops come off the doors (marked it with red arrows) and where the rear top comes off as well (not shown but you'll see it), It is a cheap I will call it upgrade for the amount of wind noise it cuts off. I am happy with the results. You can try sealing the removable tops, I will and report the results here. Good Luck! BTW clean the surfaces with alcohol first.

Hey! How is it holding up so far? It didn’t start peeling off or anything like that? I have a lot of wind noise since day one and even more since I lifted it. But it’s not like a leak or anything just the wind noise hitting the Jeep which is ten times louder than my buddy’s JK. I also recently added headliners but didn’t seem to make much of a difference.

I had a local shop install the ARB twin air (I hate wiring and the harness had to be expanded about 10’) this am. I went home after that and installed the @Maximus-3 winch plate and the Smittybilt XRC Gen3 9,500lb synthetic rope winch. It kept my mind off of all the craziness for the entire day! I’m gonna get a Factor 55 ultra hook and get rid of that stupid, but free Smittybilt nipple ASAP!

A little more doorless action. Tried out my new Topsy stack, rack and roll system. And got to see how the CMM mirrors (posted earlier in this thread) performed on the road.

Topsy door rack - pretty happy with it. Mounted it on the recommended engine stand from harbor freight. Pretty solid product. Could be mounted on the wall if you have the room.

CMM mirrors - I feel like they don’t really stick out far enough to get the right angle, at least like regular on door mirrors would. They’re still a well made product and have zero vibration on the road. It may just take some getting used to the different angle. Will definitely stick with them, though.

Topsy door rack (mounted on separate engine stand)

$64??? OMG - that's incredible. Does it make noise or flap at highway speeds? That looks great. Any issues installing it? Is the top one layer of fabric?
Went out and picked up some extra gear for going top down during Coronavirus season with the family.

No flapping in the wind. I used my bestop corners and tailgate bar. It's water proof fabric and the fit is perfect. I like so much I'm installing the matching Rampage California Brief top this afternoon....
