Added seat warmers/heaters in both front seats.

bought watercarbon brand seat warmers. $105 for the pair.

this was a full day project!! Took 8 hours! I put the switches in the center console in front of the 4wd shifter and on the passenger side face for the passenger one.

I like the warmers, they’re not very fast to heat up but that may be because the fabric is so thick. Get yourself a good quality angled hog ring pliers. Here are a few pics. Seats were a bear so be patient and you’ll get them back to new without looking like they’ve been stripped.

I used heavy duty zip ties to navigate the wiring around the shifters. I also discovered the benefit of using a step drill bit over a regular drill but when drilling plastic! Thankfully, I practiced on a spar plastic case first.

Installed @Metalcloak skids. Went together like Lincoln Logs. Super easy and done in the garage with a floor jack and wood blocks. I didn’t even drop one F . It took a few hours to do by myself, but I needed the break from reality.

The only issue I encountered was on the last bolt at the bottom rear of the gas tank skid. The bolt for the bracket was 3/8”x1” which was too long as it hit the gas tank and the lock nut wouldn’t fit.

I ended up using a 3/8”x3/4” and a regular nut with red locktite. Other than that, it fit like a glove.

I did not have that problem with mine, and that bolt resting against the fuel tank is super scary for me. You may have gotten some of the hardware mixed up. I'd definitely call MC and talk to their CS about it. Good luck in not exploding into a huge fireball of death. :whew:

Spent the weekend with @Sting_NC_USA upgrading the sound system in my JLU. I don’t have any pics, but this thing sounds amazing!! Michael is an awesome guy, with a wealth of knowledge, and the epitome of what the Jeep community is all about! I am looking forward to helping him out on some of his projects!!

Where did you order you hole plugs for the tailgate after deleting the tire? I need those too. I had something like those on my JK but can't remember where I purchased them. I remember they were kinda expensive but worked great.
Thanks

Added a winch manual disconnect on a custom mount I made from a Simpson Strong Tie I had laying around. Also painted my rear tow hook as phase 1 of Project "remove all exterior red accents".

What a kind thing to say! It was truly a pleasure to hang out, and I really enjoyed the project and conversation. Have fun tweaking the EQ's, and we'll catch up soon!
