Im torn between those 2 as well. I just installed rubi take off sliders and now im torn between roam or ace. I can not decide on which to choose.

Im also considering LoD. So many options. :headbang:

Admittedly a bit overkill for a Sahara and a few days late, but I finally got my jeep lifted after picking it up last November. Metal Cloak lift with some falcon shocks underneath. All smiles driving this thing around for the last week. Now on to bumpers and emptying the rest of my bank account.

No overkill, I like it :like: Maybe some bigger tires would "fill the void" and look really nice.

Where did you mount the antenna?
Haven’t done a permanent mount yet. Fixing to order the rockhard 4x4 bolt in cage and will mount the radio on it. Antenna is currently placed on the roll bar with a magnetic base until we figure out a permanent solution

Today I installed my Carolina Metal Masters Mirrors.
https://www.carolinametalmasters.com/collections/jeep-jl-parts
  • No vibration on highway or trail
  • Easy install.
  • Easy to put on and take off, as well as to adjust the mirrors.
  • Built in ball mounts for Go-Pro, phone, etc.
  • Expensive
The previous mirrors I had were much cheaper, but they were also near useless because they vibrate real bad.
I also have the $5 air vent mirrors

How do you like your roam rocksliders? I’m torn between roam or ace rocksliders.
I like them so far but understand I have only had them on for about 3 weeks or so. The installation was pretty easy and I am not a veteran at installing this kind of stuff, although I am learning pretty quickly (replaced the grill on my 2012 Civic Si the other day). Wife and kids like the step in and I really like the way it keeps most of the mud off the doors. Haven't wired the lights into the Jeep yet but have wired the 4 lights together on each side. Hopefully finishing the lights will go smoothly. I think they are great so far, time will tell on how they last.

What'd you go with?
I went with the Cobra C75WX. It was super easy to install. The radio part is in the mic. There is a very small box that the mic plugs into and the coaxial cable plugs into. That box is easy to hide up under the dash in the passenger footwell.

I will not have this in the hooked up full time. It is easy to detach the mic from that little box and I installed a quick detach for the antenna. So for normal none trail driving with the top off, I do not have to worry about someone taking the radio while I am parked.

I used this to hang the mic. It is a simple install and keeps the mic out of the way.
