Installed the Tuffy trunk enclosure. All my standard recovery gear fits, with lots of room to spare.

Freedom panels can be stored vertically between the seats and the enclosure, or just lay them on top and strap them down.

Got my 4.88 spicer gears, rcv front shafts and spicer chromoly rear shafts installed this week. Northridge 4x4 in slc did a great job. Have about 120 miles on them so far.

I removed the OEM antenna and replaced it with a 4" black antenna.

I put some new wheels and new-to-me K02 315/70/r17 tires on today. Wheels are quadratec Baja Extreme IIs. The tires came along as a package deal with the Extreme Recon lift thats going on this weekend.

edit: IDK, what do you guys think? Seems like it’s sitting pretty well without the XR suspension?

I think it looks good as it is. But if you ever intend to install heavy bumpers, winch and skids. Then the XR suspension will be nice to have.

New AEV SAVEGRE 2s

I'm a huge fan of these wheels and looking to get a set later this year. AEV's marketing makes them out to be a godsend to the JL platform:
"The Savegre II features a JL/Gladiator-specific offset of +25mm, which works perfectly with the various OE fender flare styles and provides the optimal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius and handling."

Now that you've had them for a month, how do you like them?
-How's the ride?
-Any issues with the tpms sensors?
-Is the matte black finish holding up?
-Would you recommend them or suggest something different?

I love them. I think they look unique compared to all the other black wheels out there. No issues with the tpms sensors. As far as the finish, I've not taken the jeep off road yet. I have a trip planned to AOAA at the end of Sept so we will see how the finish holds up. Check out the following video to see what other owners have said about the finish. . If you do a lot of rock crawling, the finish on these wheels may not fare well. Having said that...i love the wheels...the way they look....no difference in the ride. Although they are about 10lbs heavier than the stock Willys wheels.

Perfect 🤙🏼
I do 0% rock crawling and the forest trails I drive through only have dirt, gravel, and roots.

Installed the AEV jack base and mount. Upgraded my bike lock to a Bolt lock matched to the Jeep and did a general look over before hitting the road for my next job out of state… They pulled the can you start Monday by notifying me Friday at lunch. So far, I’m not overly impressed with them and their lack of communication… But that’s a rant for another day.
