Added the bike rack for the first time for a quick trip down to the Oregon coast for the weekend. Luckily I had a 4in drop/rise hitch receiver on the RV that I could use to lower the rack to allow the door to swing. This way I only have to remove the bikes to open the door. Still a pain but better than having to also take off the rack.

Was fun to get out on our e-bikes.

Of course still had to make MickeyD’s stop because my better half is addicted to their iced mochas…

My one Son has a 2 bike rack that hangs out long like that on his new 2023 Taco.

Recently installed on the Taco is a @Diode Dynamics hitch mount LED pod light....

ANYWAY, my Son made up an extension harness for the pod light and also attached a square 4" female receptacle (like 4" hitch receiver) on to the back of the bike rack....

...and when the bike rack is on the Taco, he places the Diode Dynamics hitch mount pod LED light into the 4" receiver on the bike rack..

This set-up is a real plus in bad weather / at night letting / alerting people behind of the added length on the back.

thanks brad. i put on 20 miles since yesterday and with the rough roads around here. the jl rode smooth and tight. the jl doesnt feel like its loose. the real test will be tomorrow on the parkway which can get me death wobbles.
as for the tires. i wanted to go up in size. just wasnt ready to jump up to 33s. so these 32x10 fit perfect and looks good. i'm glad i went with them.

Only had it a week, but today I added the Rugged Ridge door sill protectors and the WeatherTech side window deflectors. I also just jacked the credit card moments ago on the Bulletpoint RubiGrid dash mount with dual phone holders.

Tube doors... engaged.

The passenger side tube door needed a little extra Dremel work to get it to sit far enough back to engage the strike plate. But other than that it was a pretty straight-forward swap. The Jeep doors are much lighter than I expected.
