Nice! I've got a pair of the 2dr wheel well saddle bags coming.

They aren’t perfect but so much better than the nets. We will need to see how they ‘break in’.

Got dark before I could snap a pic, but finally installed my WeatherTech rear cargo mat (the one that goes the full length under the rear seats).

Probably took me a couple hours just trying to neatly cut out the the damn subwoofer and 4x cargo hook holes. Amazingly, didn't slice my hand open trying to make everything look clean. Was actually able to install the mat without completely removing the rear seat, just by sliding, lifting and repositioning them both. Couldn't figure out why my seat wouldn't latch back down until I re-watched another video and realized I was on the wrong hook (thankfully not the most rearward ones, just the wrong front ones ).

Think it was the first time I actually climbed up into the back seats and honestly, I'm not sure how you're supposed to do that with nothing to grab onto. Anyone without side steps have any suggestions in case I ever try it again?

Maybe some roll bar velcro attached grab handles??

Jeep made an enemy over the weekend. At first I thought this guy just wanted to check out the Jeep. When I moved the jeep around the house to load up for the dump he followed me. Later it appeared he just wanted to attack my paint above the windshield.

Suggest you replace the stock side marker lights with @Diode Dynamics , clear or smoked side markers. Easy easy to install and cost $100.

Stock side marker color detracts from the look of your JL.

I have the same and with the backseat out. They don't really take up any cargo space and they hold surprisingly a lot. I have two camp chairs in one side with room to spare.
Chair - CLIQ (cliqproducts.com)
The other side holds a shovel, a NOCO battery boost/charger, misc recovery gear and more room to spare.

Great idea about the chairs! (Hadn't thought of that). I have 2 similarly sized chairs.... that.... well, I'm gonna go see if they fit right now!

2dr overlanding is all about miniaturization and weight, especially if also a ‘toad’. I think I might be becoming an expert here (is that proper English?). Actually thinking about creating a thread on this subject to share notes.
