the wind noise is the only thing I can’t get rid of, and I’ve tried adding extra sealing strips and softening the gaskets etc., but it’s not too bad. ‘It’s a Jeep’
Your handle is "Yorkie3621". Anything to do with the dog? A neighbor as several Yorkie dogs.

I used to date a girl with a pair of yorkies. They liked to yap, snap, and crap - not a dog by any stretch.
The neighbors refer to them as ankle biters. lol. They are tiny. I'd be shocked if they weighed more then 5-6 pounds? She has 3 of them. Only one barks? Her dogs are pretty well behaved and fairly smart. She does some kind of competition with them. Something where they run a obstacle course. And some kind of obedience trials. She showed me a video on her phone once. I was actually impressed.

Okay, yes! I know we don't buy a Jeep for the luxury or comfort, however...

I bought mine because I love the way they drive, I hate all the other 'samey' and boring vehicles on the road and I wanted something that would be the best convertible, convert to any mood I'm in, get me to work and back in any weather, without boring me and make the drive interesting.

I'm not interested in making my Jeep better off road, I'm interested in making it more comfortable, more luxurious, quiet and pleasant to be in.

To that end, I've done soundproofing top to bottom and got it down to 69db at 70mph.
Upgraded the speakers
Added custom Luxe Mats
A few other minor interior touches

What have you done, or plan to do to improve the comfort and luxury of your Jeep?
Sound deadening. I also added a white boom mat.

@Yorkie3621 can you post up pics after you put flooring over sound deadening material? Reducing road noise by 10 decibels is nothing to sniff at. You should start a new thread "Reducing Cabin Noise" or "Sound Deadening".

Got a JLUR with cold weather so there's very little to improve. Did put in a dead pedal though.
Interested in dynamat improvements though, seems simple with some good benefits.

This was one of the first things I did so all subsequent pics are with the sound deadening material installed. There is no difference in how the carpet lays or how it feels, other than all road noise and wheel noise is completely gone and the interior immediately felt more comfortable. This was the single best improvement I did for the money.

I'm hoping someone will sell improved gaskets for the doors and freedom panels so they seal tighter, but, it's a Jeep so it's never going to be as quiet as a conventional car...however, I tested my Subaru Forester on the same road, at the same speed and it was coming up at 77db and I have this down to 69db,

How much was the material? How much did you need, how many yard? Where did you get it? How long did it take you to do everything?

Nice work Yorkie3621!

I added aftermarket heated seats. My Jeep’s about as stripped down as you can possibly get, which is exactly how I wanted it however with the seats the GF (who’s chronically cold!) can stay warm when I refuse to put the roof on...
