I left mine open... but I did zip tie the fog light wires down to the frame/bumper to reduce the risk of them getting caught on random trail stuff. I also took an extra bolt/clip and put it in empty third bolt hole on the passenger side. It was bugging me that it was the only one open!

I can see zip tie... because of the trail stuff like wood, I'm leaning to fab a plate for both sides open at the top and bottom for water drainage. Mostly to reduce some thing hitting the back of the fog lights. Keep the ideas coming....

Any one interested in a plate.... taking orders subject to design approvals.

I’d be interested in a plate for this. I thought I had read here some time ago that Maximus 3 was considering making one, but don’t know what came of that...

I got the following email back from Maximus 3.....

Hello,

The plates for the bumper are still on the drawing board. We have plans to release them in the future we just don’t have an accurate time quote. It is something we have been putting effort too, so I know it will be a reality. We appreciate the patience and reach out to us if you have any other questions.

Cheers!

Making the plate is pretty easy, using cardboard for a template and using 4 of the TORX-45 bolts from the end caps--

Add a strip of adhesive weather strip around the perimeter of each plate and cut a slot on the passenger side for the fog lite harness--

DIY job-

What'd you use for the backing material?
Backing material??

I used aluminum sheet for the faceplate(cardboard template) and foam door seal for the edges !

Good luck

I was told it's not a bolt hole. For nostalgia that is an antenna mount..like when they had the tall whips that they tied down when on the road.

So what i did was take the flat arch shaped piece off each extension (used sawzall), then switched right and left sides sho the curve followed the bumper edge...genuine mopar foglight protection.
