I like these Jeep videos on YouTube. They are simple/informative.
I agree... great visual aid. Pluses will help explain the theory and use regarding the mechanics behind. As when to use and more importantly what is or is not safe.

I was driving in the dirt for the first time, I shifted from 2h to 4h around 10 mph and it made like a grind noise, is that normal? It was also a little hard to move the shift lever when I did that. I couldn't get to 4L.

I would take it in to have it looked at, shifting to 4H should almost never grind.
