Jeremyjeep,

Pics as promised. The install took a little longer than it should have. It was impossible to install per instructions: mount brackets to jeep, then side step to brackets. I ended up assembling the brackets to the side step, then the entire apparatus to the jeep. Much easier.

The front and rear brackets are different length. One set is about 3/8" longer than the other. Instructions were unclear on this. Called Go Rhino and they told me the wrong way as evidenced in the last 2 pics. The side steps are slightly angled out toward the rear of the jeep. Going to have to swap those tomorrow.

John

Well for a start how about having a cord long enough for the block heater to reach the front bumper. That will cost them big bucks...

A switch for the check engine light so we don't keep running out of black tape

So, do the long brackets go in front or back?

Long brackets go in the front.

BTW there will still be a noticeable vanishing point looking angle to them. But it may be due to the fact the JL is about 6" narrower in the front. It's not really noticeable unless you are looking for it specifically, and the extra width is welcome at the smallish bottom of the passenger door. I measured them along the pinch weld front to back and they are parallel.

:like:

One more thing: Get a tap and die set and a coarse file and save yourself some headache.
Bracket weld mounted nuts had a bit of overspray.
A couple of the welds on the brackets ran over the edge. Wouldn't fit into the sidestep without a little filing.
