Seems to be a lot of 392 haters. There is absolutely no downside outside of MPG. The Jeep drives so much better in every way than my 2018 JLUR did. Jeep did an amazing job. I have tossed the keys to many friends and every single one of them has been floored with what a nice well rounded Jeep this is. Best driving factory wrangler ever - Absolutely 100%

I am going to mention price but in a very different way. I had a WK2 GC SRT and the damn thing blew a head gasket. That was a $5400 repair bill.
I think the 392 is an absolute beast and I would love to own one, but with my current needs, this does not fit my life.

Lots of great points so far... but i gotta say it... if you are thinking that you want a jeep with a hemi, you have already left the standard reality of vehicles... its like applying logic to a feral cat. I dont see why there is even a discussion on the ups and downs. Its a freaking HEMI IN A JEEP people. You're just suppose to hold on and enjoy the ride.

I’ve already seen a few used 392s for sale on cars.com with less than 1,000 miles in the odometer.

As exciting as it is, all that weight, power and thirst is not for everyone.

I think a lot of wallets were affected negatively from the time the future owner ordered their 392, to when they received it. When i cancelled my bronco and defender 110 orders and decided to go 392, i didnt order one. I called atleast 50 dealerships to ask for one that was ordered but the "owner" was needing out. And i found a handful of them. I just got lucky that my dealership called me back a day later with that exact scenario and with the skytouch (my main req). So in 3 days i went from not considering a 392 to owning one. Time and place.

you've got time before the electric trucks start hitting the road.
Not much time, rivian is supposed to start delivering within the next 2 months. If you 392 owners pull up next to 1 of these, don’t embarrass yourselves. Not only does it have 50% more range than you, double the payload capacity, triple the towing capacity, and the ability to do 0 radius turns, it’s 800hp and instant torque mean 0-60 in 3s flat. If they are half as good in the real world as they are on paper, I might be selling the Ram Rebel and going electric soon.

Weight is 100% an issue. The nose being heavier effects the behavior of the vehicle on a climb and a descent regardless of the terrain. The extra weight pushing down creates more vertical load pressure on the tires which will matter in any type of compression terrain such as sand, mud or snow.
Ok, sure. But the weight of the 392 is not an issue.

Not replacing the jeep with electric anytime soon. The truck may be a different story.
The day i go electric is the day i cut my nails for good.
And there's only 1 truck i acknowledge. The raptor.

Raptards are cool but there is a ton of trucks out there just as cool!
Sorry but that little ecoboost isn't so impressive these days!
