Whacked out Temps!! From 194 to 260 back to 201??

2018 JLU Rubi 15,000 miles, What is going on? Driving back in November got the RED warning about engine temp being 260 degrees! Turn heat of full and Hi hot, blows cold air. Took in for service, they said computer had to be re programmed. Today happened again..Have service appointment on Tuesday. Anyone experience this? I have a video, but don't know how to upload. @JeepCares any thoughts?

Sounds like a classic "low coolant level"
Have you checked the level? Reservoir bottle?
Usually caused by air pocket in system ( air pocket will block coolant flow in engine = causes overheating to occur)
Also the heater core is the highest point in the cooling system (air pocket/ bubbles will rise)
Blocking flow and causing loss of heat...
Just my two cents worth of info.
( Remember to let it cool off before checking levels for your safety!)

For as quick as it says it heats up to 260 degrees, thats how fast it says the temp drops back down to 190ish.. It's def computer issues.

I've been experiencing the same issue recently. I'm curious if there's been a remedy? Taking my Jeep to the dealer tomorrow.
3.6, manual, sport s 2018 model.
