Oh wow I never saw this reply sorry lol.
I can't say that anything we found was actually designated as trails. As far as we could tell they were just logging roads or backroads locals use to get to hidden creek spots. But some of the areas pictured would not of treated your everyday sedan nicely. They got pretty steep and my wife was freaking out.
As for the writing it's actually aurebesh, the written language from Star Wars. It says "Its a jeep thing"
I'm a dork.

I was down there the end of July for a kayaking trip and saw a pretty big group of Jeeps. No clue where they were headed.
