Ahhh ok, thank you much, just saw the 4cyl turbo, then looked at the jeep site and went oh no.You have the 2.0L turbo 4cyl. A very different engine, not part of the lawsuit.
Jeep still sells the 2.0 , just not on all variants. The configuration website is also buggy.
Well we already had a Jeep, enjoyed wrenching my wife's and going Jeeping with her so much I got one last month. Today as I am scrolling Facebook, the Jeep club we are in one of the members made a post. Saw a mass class action lawsuit due to the 2.4L Tigershark apparently there is a defect that is causing the Engine to burn a lot of excess oil so about every 700 miles you need to check it and add oil, failure to do so may destroy the engine.

Out of curiosity I went to www.jeep.com to look. So far on the base models of the 2020 JL Sport Unlimited the 4 cylinder Turbo has been pulled for the Unlimited Sport. The Unlimited Sport is only available in the v6 and the new v6 Turbo Eco Diesel for the 4 door. I have yet to look at all the other models the Rubicon still has all the options. Also noticed the Bikini Pearl is no longer available on the base Unlimited Sports.
Just a little worried and disappointed got my Jeep last month 2020 Unlimited Sport with the 2.4L w/turbo Bikini Pearl only put 160 miles on it as I wait for goodies to come in, just had my windows tinted with the best stuff out there today. Then I saw this article, went to the Jeep site and now am going oh great. My jeep it's engine and color has been pulled. Went full crazy on the warranty because well Jeeping just before the crazy warranty expires was planning on getting every dent/ding/scratch taken care of. Now it looks like if I am not overly vigilant my Jeep might be constantly going in for engine replacements and I will be having to fork out a little more money every 700 miles to refill before my oil chances. Just a little disheartening.
