Wondering if anyone else has experienced issues like this. In the 2 months I’ve had my JL, I’ve went to other metro areas twice. Those are the only 2 times I’ve had issues with my infotainment and it returned to normal both times the next day.
The first time was on a road trip to another city 2 hours away. Everything worked fine on the way up, the next day my entire infotainment froze up. Couldn’t use nav, listen to music, etc. Called the support desk and no change. I had planned to take it to the dealer the following morning after returning, but magically the next day everything was working fine.
Last weekend I went on a trail ride to another city, and again everything was fine on the way there. But the next day, I had an even weirder issue. Everything on the infotainment worked EXCEPT CarPlay. The nav worked, radio worked, etc. My iPhone was getting a charge from the Jeep, but it wouldn’t recognize the phone and activate CarPlay (although I could make calls over Bluetooth). I tried using a different USB cable, different USB Jack, etc, but nothing. So I was forced to drive home using the built-in nav instead of Waze (what am I? Amish?). And again, the next morning everything was back to normal and it works fine.
I know I know, these are def first world problems. But I’m wondering whether this is because the Nav is trying to download a new city’s maps when I drive to those markets, and if so these problems will keep repeating everytime I take a road trip. Anyone else experienced anything like this?
