I follow you guys on insta (@ConsuelatheJL) but didn't know you started this thread. Awesome pics and trip! One of these times when you're passing through Iowa, maybe I can hitch up with the caravan and head with.
Sounds good.

Sounds good.
Enjoyed the pic's. Wish I was already there.
I would like to send you an PM if that's okay with you. We are planning a trip to Moab in Mid October and just had some question for you.
Thanks!

and the story countinues........
We are getting closer to Hell's gate at this point and mgroeger lead us up to this overlook. Phil climb up on his Jeep to do a live feed to Instagram or maybe Facebook and I seized the opportunity to have Carla photo bomb his feed.

Walking back to mine and mgreoger Jeep, the view was simpley breattaking. I am in awe of how pretty our nation is.

My wife Carla. She did a lot of the driving as I spotted. Her ability behind the wheel was amazing. More to come about that. Notice the hitch is still in the bumper..... Well, the lock was froze up on it. More to come on that also.

If you watch Youtube..... You know where we are and whats coming up.

I would not try Hell's Gate with out an experienced spotter. We lucked out and a tour group was there. I Just watched him and made the climb. It would be very easy to have a very very bad day at this spot.

Well now I have to find the video...... more to come.

found it.

Just looking at hells gate it seems unattenable then watching that jeep twist and pull itself not only up but forward on that crevise was impressive.

Wow, looks like a great time had by all. I have fully enjoyed seeing all your pics & vids & reading your posts. I'm not far from retirement myself & thus the reason we bought our JLUR. To do things just like this.

Hopefully in a few years my wife & I can do some trips like this. I certainly wouldn't mind wheeling with you wibornz. Sounds like we could share some good "war stories". I've got 25 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic in a major city. So, your story definitely got my brain cells itching & brought back a few memories for sure.

Thanks for posting it all, gives me some hope for the future.

I am not one of those retirees that sit back on the couch. You have to get out there. Plan things.... Do things. We are headed for Rausch Creek in a couple weeks.

Yep, very hard for me to sit still. Adrenaline junkie here for sure. Looking forward though, to being able to take off & go whenever we want. Also, looking forward to moving out into the country, then I can go hunting & fishing all the time as well.

Again, really like all the pics & vids. Can't wait to have these experiences & see these sights myself.
