So i installed my Maximus 3 rack a couple of months ago and it has been awesome. Went through several car washes and drove through rainy weather at several speeds and conditions. Yesterday I get to my jeep after its been parked at my work all day, and its been sprinkling all day on and off, and i get in and see water dripping from every corner where the legs have drill holes. I checked all the seals and bolts and everything looks good. Nothing is over tightened so the rubber seals arent pinched or anything. Has anyone else had this and how did you fix the leaks? Thinking about grabbing some silicone and removing the screws one by one to add a better seal.

Roof racks always provide GASKETS to seal AROUND the BKT attachs, but--

There's always an unseal around the bolts--water always SEEKS the easiest way DOWN--

You MUST ALWAYS apply SILICONE around the bolt (top) holes--

If you use washers, there's MORE of a leak chance--

Just remove each bolt and apply silicone to the bolt UNDER--as though the silicone is the washer !

Good luck
