We have only had our 2018 Sahara for a couple weeks. We drove it one day last week after a rain and turned a corner and water was dripping in from windshield right behind the rearview mirror. Since then we took the tops off, checked the gasket, found no obvious issue and put them back on. This morning after a rainstorm I got in and when I backed up once again water leaked from center of windshield. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this and possible fix?

reset your freedom panels as you probably pinched the rubber seal. Happened to me

Hi LJBURCH31,
We're very sorry to hear about this happening with your brand new Jeep. Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealer look into this. We would like to have this documented and have a case escalated in your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution.

Same here. Reset your Freedom Panels by taking them off and putting them back on, taking special care to ensure the seals are not crimped or pinched, or twisted in any way. I had a minor leak discovered during some hard rain, and fixed it using this method. I did indeed have a little spot where the seal was kinda pinched..

Mine leaked a little today after going through a carwash, but did not leak at all during a heavy rain storm last night. I will probably pull them off and make sure everything is straight and see if the problem continues before going to the dealer.

I got a new 2020 JLUR a few weeks ago. Just notice today water coming in when backing up out of the driveway and then when driving away. There is a black box attached to the inside with the rear-view mirror attached to that. On the bottom of the box are slits, the water seems to be coming from there. Taking it in next week, can you offer any suggestions.

Those slits are where the mic for the UConnect system is. Water is coming in from above/behind that area. Suggestions have already been offered above. Re-seat the freedom panels making sure none the seals are folded over pinched in any way.

I'm having the same issues and my local Dealership does not want to fix it cause my Jeep is out of Warranty. How can we escalate this issue @JeepCares ?
