One week old 2020 WIllys 2-door hardtop. Came out this morning after having rain all day yesterday. Rear portion of the drivers seat cushion and the seat back were soaked. Looks like it dripped through and pooled in the rear-seat floor (rubber) mat.

I removed the drivers freedom panel and can see nothing odd. The B pillar was wet as was the seat belt.

Any ideas that I can look for? I will be taking it to the dealer to have it checked out.

Did you remove the freedom panels? Seals on the freedom panels have to be set just right when you put them back on.

I have them out now to air and dry the seat and carpet. We took some photos of where we saw water. The driver's side was slightly elevated (higher than the pass side) so this was not likely a pooling issue. I assume that something is not sealed correctly but I just can't see where. There was no water in the driver's footwell carpeting or on the side rear carpeting, nor the driver's headrest or front 6" of the drivers seat cushion. It was either dripping onto the drivers seatback or running down the B pillar to the seatbelt and then onto the seatback.

Not sure if this could be the issue.... but..... anyway.... on the 2 dr. , hard top, behind the removable white piece of plastic marked in the picture below, there is a drain hose. Perhaps the issue is with the drainage there... That plastic piece on either side of the Jeep, can be pulled off. It is held on with double sided tape that often lets go on it's own and is the source of a rattle that 2dr. owner's often have.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll take a look. The dealer will be seeing on Monday, they have a "water leak specialist" who works on Mondays and will try to find anything that is amiss. I will report back on what I or he finds.

Dealer called to tell me that they needed to "reseal the header" to correct the source of the leak. I will need to have them show me what that means.
