I won’t list all the options but the MSRP for my built came out to $56,800.

Talked to 3 dealers today

1&2 $50,577 sales price (attached)

2. $49,243 sales price, after I pay $100 to get the affiliate discount

Another told me they couldn’t get close to the $49,243...that makes it the lowest out of 4.

Is this deal that great? First time buying a new car, and excited to order my wrangler but want to make sure I’m getting a good deal. I have read posts of guys who get killer deals on here so I thought I’d ask.

Appreciate any input!

Both are good deals. The one for 49k is a crazy deal. Nearly 13.5% off of MSRP.

The Doc fee on your paperwork is very high and makes up almost 2%.

You have to wait 30 days on the tread lightly (affiliate discount) the deal is good but I would get them to give you something to make up for half of that high dealer fee.

Since it’s an order I probably have the time for the discount to kick in.

What would you recommend? Was the cheapest of all so far so I have nothing to pin them against

The $49,243 is the exact same percentage off MSRP (-13.3%) that I got on my '19 JLUR, which for me was 8% below invoice. Certainly a good deal and probably as good as you are likely to get.

What are the doc fees on this one? because 1&2 are already higher price plus a high doc fee of $799.

oh and regarding the affiliate discount, make sure your company is not an affiliate already, because you'd be able to get the 1% without having to spend the $100 on the TL membership.

Seems like a great deal to me! Even with the high documentation fee.

13.5% off msrp is a good deal, get what you want, like dual tops, that is a big savings plus you get the premium soft top with tinted windows, that is not something you can get later, it only comes with the dual top option. The trailer tow package also gives you the switches as part of the package and trying to go and have it done later is not like getting it done on a regular vehicle, the wiring is more complicated for whatever reason but many members have said they wished the had bought it on the rig instead of trying to have it put on later. I would get a minimum of 7% off with tread lightly, there are several dealers on the east coast.

What I think that I am learning from these threads is that dealers may be “jacking up” their fees while we are negotiating down below invoice.

I am thinking that I will simply negotiate an “out the door price (exclusive of tax)”. That way, they can charge me $12 for the car and $48,000 for fees if they want......whatever.....

OP, other than the fees which seem high to me, I think that this is a very good price.
