OK, I misunderstood your original post. I did more picture looking than reading for comprehension and thought the issue was the unsecured fuel line being cut by that shield. You’re saying it was more likely flexion or stress from the line now being unsecured in that area where it was attached to the OEM fuel tank skid before it was removed.

Gonna check mine again. I’ve actually checked it before to make sure it hadn’t moved and started to rub on something knowing that the support at the rear was off. I never thought about the flex being much of an issue, but I think I’ll find a way to re-secure it.

Thanks for the heads up.

Did anyone come up with a permanent solution to this? Artec skid plate will be installed later this week when it arrives.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Good info here, I'm in the process of building my own skids, and would have to remove the front gas tank skid (along w/ that support clip). I will be adding something to keep those lines supported now. Thanks for posting this @anotheraznguy

So I made a small batch of these, I figured if I’m making one I may as well make six. Minus one for me and one to get measurements right and I’ve got four left. You have to drill a 1/4” hole in the vertical shield (shown below). Is anybody interested?

oh forgot to add: it’s HDPE plastic. The first one has been on our ride a couple weeks and to an ORV once. Considering the original part was plastic I don’t think heat will be a problem but no guarantees.

Great solution..
I took the easy way, which is very similar. Installed a piece of hardwood painted black in the same place, drilled a hole and zipped tied the current brace to to the wood.

I’m going to pick up and install roll pins tomorrow after work to ensure the two halves don’t twist. Will reach out via pm when done, wife has PayPal and cash app. Asking $30 and I’ll cover shipping.

Awesome - shoot me a pm…I just had my gas line replaced because of an unrelated leak or the fuel rail. Dealership trashed my temporary solution…

Awesome, thank you folks, you’ve taken the sting out of buying that plastic (it was $60 for a 12x12x1.5” square!).
All four all accounted for at this point:
@shotcoach
@blnewt
@Windshieldfarmer
@hardrock_sea
I’ll shoot you each a pm hopefully this evening.
